When I say you're my friend or family, I mean it. When I say I hate when people storm with my friends and family, I mean it. 

This goes double for when they are abusive pieces of rust and my friend's siblings are still at risk.

I had a similar thing with my dad and I can argue that that really isn’t the solution?

I don’t like violence? I’ve experienced it and it’s a stupid thing when that becomes a part of someone you love, but I don’t think it’s really funny to joke about flying to a real persons house to “mutilate” them. I don’t know, im interjecting where I don’t really belong because this is Glass’s problem

Yeah, that's fair. And maybe drawing the line at incapacitate is enough. I spoke out of anger, and will revise. 

But I am not going to sit by and do nothing when the system fails people and innocent people are getting hurt. I cant. The only reason I haven't gone to her yet is I don't have the money for it. 

And I know this might come across as foolish or harsh. And I know that it can look like a simplistic answer to a complex problem. But it is an answer. An effort. And it shouldn't be the responsibility of children and young adults to have to escape their own parents. And definitely not alone and feeling like their lives are at risk. 

And if someone feels that their life is in danger from their own parent. . . well to use a quote I agree with, "Someone tries to kill you, you try and kill 'em right back."

i cope with the issues with my family by reminding myself that there's only graduation and a summer, and to keep my head down, but thats not a universal situation. also in my case it is partially my fault, while i love my parents a lot i am very stubborn and my dad used to... overreact, shall we say. i want to believe its all his fault, he wants to believe its all my fault, and i have to recognize that conflict is a two way street and i need to try and not openly antagonize him. What i have learned from this is that when i try and fight back, it gets used as a weapon against me later, and i really really dont want to wake up one day completely alienated from the people i love most. honestly, ive developed the mindset that violence is never justified except in self defence, but if i think im actually in danger, id probably do something id regret

but situations are different from person to person. i dont know how this started for her, if she can wait it out, if she can defend herself. whats clearly true to all is that her parents are wrong.
