PreciousNoodle Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 I'll just put the synopsis of the first book here for now (there are four books total in the Forbidden Library series). This is what it says on Goodreads The Forbidden Library kicks off an action-packed fantasy series with classic appeal, a resourceful heroine, a host of magical creatures, and no shortage of narrow escapes--perfect for fans of Story Thieves, Coraline, Inkheart, and Harry Potter. Alice always thought fairy tales had happy endings. That--along with everything else--changed the day she met her first fairy When Alice's father goes down in a shipwreck, she is sent to live with her uncle Geryon--an uncle she's never heard of and knows nothing about. He lives in an enormous manor with a massive library that is off-limits to Alice. But then she meets a talking cat. And even for a rule-follower, when a talking cat sneaks you into a forbidden library and introduces you to an arrogant boy who dares you to open a book, it's hard to resist. Especially if you're a reader to begin with. Soon Alice finds herself INSIDE the book, and the only way out is to defeat the creature imprisoned within. It seems her uncle is more than he says he is. But then so is Alice.

Shard of Reading he/him Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 I actually like it when people do long posts.
PreciousNoodle Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 I agree. As long as they aren't too long anyway. Like 3 pages or something.
Toothless of Shinovar Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 I sometimes do long posts and I always feel guilty for the people that read my whole post and find it boring and time-wasting to read.
Lecky Twig she/her Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 Usually I dont read long posts unless I’m super interested in the topic. Sometimes I read a long posts and I feel accomplished, then I open the spoiler box and discover that the post is even longer than first perceived. Then my sense of accomplishment is stripped from me and I become sad. Spoiler But not very sad. See, I could put something really long here to punctuate my point, but I’m too lazy to write an exposition on absolutely nothing. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. wins.
PreciousNoodle Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 That might be the shortest TED Talk I've ever seen/heard
Emi she/her Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 Yeah, I think it was the shortest one for me too.
