Water pours out in a torrent, soaking the surrounding area, but some invisible force keeps it from soaking my clothes. I reach inside and around dig around for a few seconds, then drag a large catfish out, writhing furiously. It tries to bite me, and I toss it into the air, where it hovers helplessly. Further telekinesis forces its mouth open and extracts the water sitting behind its gills. I bottle it in a vial, then fling the fish back through the Rift, which closes with a hiss. “Here,” I say, tossing the vial to Frustration. “One metaphilisophical quandry. Happy summoning!” and then i return to the fallen god-city of Arcadia to search for a lost prophet, or something else equally vague and impressive sounding when I’m really just listening to altmetal.
