Agreed, a blown up and destroyed AlleyCity (from right after the SDW) would be awesome. All the destruction, both Abomination-caused or nuke-caused, would be sweet.

This is something Meta did a while back and I think it was agreed upon. We don’t actually have any drawings, though:

Eh, depressing? I'm part of the guild that did it!

Well it is all about the perspective. Some people think nuking cities is bad, while others think it's great.

I think a logo/ glyph/ crest also would be nice to have. Something that stands for the city and therefore for all of us.

But in the end: Just draw whatever you want to! And a picture of the Alleycity destroyed or not would be great!

This is a thing.

Edit: Also, random question. How likely is it that there's a special honorblade for the alleyspren?

A special honorblade? Likely no chance at all. Due to the mechanisms and how the honorblades came to be. A shardblade? I think that that’s more than likely.

From what I could tell it makes you a Bondsmith, but with a bit more power and control over the three realms.

Maybe that's how alleymatics works. :o

I do actually have a system lined up for what alleymatics does that I’ve been using since like April. The alleyspren doesn’t involve that.

After a lot of AlleyCity was blown up in the war, was it rebuilt the same way it was before, or was the situation taking advantage of? It is home to many NPCs and most places/ cities grow in population through time, requiring for more homes to be created. In a place like this, space could wind up as an issue. Were the blown up residencial zones rebuilt to mirror pre-nuke? It would make sense that newer more compact housing was put in instead, but that would mean AlleyCity is advancing architecturally and quite possibly technologically as well.

Nothing technological in the main city, but it wasn't built the same way as before. We have the 'old wards' which are literally islands, the nukes left it having a huge crater, already meaning different building styles are necessary. So no, it would be different. One thing though: many were killed in SDW, so it would have had a huge loss of population to grow back from.

The way I picture it is there large sprawling apartment complexes in the crater, built without real organization, just created to house the survivors/people coming into the city. There would be no real street system down in the crater, and it would be incredibly easy to get lost. The “Islands” would have bridges coming off of them to neighboring ones/the walls of the craters. The “islands” would naturally become a place for the rich and elite of the Alleyverse to live, and so are hated by those in the crater itself. The Rim of the crater would likely become the finical district due to the difficulty of shipping goods into the crater as well as the pollution issues. That’s how I see it at least.

Yeah, but I still think some art would be there. It isn't just another dystopia. I know that at least Hellbent's grave would be there.

And ironic, considering Hellbent became a bloodthirsty killer...

I like that idea. We also had a map where we placed the center of the bomb, so that we would have a part of the city, that was partially still standing (the north if I remember correctly). Even there a lot would have been in need to be rebuilt, but there the old structure of the Alleycity could still be seen.

No, that part was going to be fine because it was reinforced some, just not enough to face a thermonuke blast. Hurt it was empty of abominations, so it wasn't nuked.

Yes, the DA part of the city. The rest is a crater with some islands (worldspike, canton of combat, the hall TFA made, etc.)
