From what I remember is that we have gotten confirmation that inquisitors could burn their spikes if they wanted. And since aluminum wipes metal reserves it seams to imply that spikes/knives/swords that pierce the body could be destroyed by aluminum. But it also might need to be a hemalurgic spike so I wanted confirmation before I exploited it.

We have WoB confirmation that it flushes out all investiture inside the person. EG: Allomatic metals. there's good reason to assume that if a leecher touched a spike and burned chromium, the spike would lose it's power if it's not already grafted onto the spiritweb, similar how touching metalminds would wipe reserves. i'll try find more info now

From memory, if you were particularly experienced with it you could learn to do that, but it wouldn't be a default function.
Main reasoning: Vin uses Duralumin plenty of times with an earring in and doesn't disintegrate it, now Aluminium is a little special but I would say chromium would probably be under the same restriction.

Bloodbath gave up on waiting for Death to respond, and decided to kill as many Chaos marines as he could in 117 minutes. He had just managed 18 in 45 minutes, so this should be fun. He would, simply put, make the skies rain with the blood of demons.

I need to fight someone sapient contolled by an RPer. Help.

Mostly because it is more interesting, but also because it develops your character better.

Devaan just murdered hellbent, but you're welcome to come at him while he is in the centre of his canton and practically invincible, but I suggest you fight Bloodbath if you want a fairer fight

@BitBitio, I'll control an NPC and fight you, as I have nothing else to do. I'll be a dark alley member who was spiked with sand mastery, steelpushing, and ironpulling. Her name will be Frond.

You could also be one of the Abominations if you want. They’re pretty powerful (and pretty awesone), and they’re kinda the prevailing problem.

Ooh, you're right. Now i've gotta track down the list Voidus put in the PM.

Quote

I'm going to be this:

Sentry
Appearance: Human but with bat like wings sprouting from their backs, sunken eyes and permanently sweaty (It's a bug, we're still ironing it out)
Hemalurgic abilities: Weight reduction, Enhanced Sight (2x), Iron Feruchemy, Iron Allomancy(2x), Surge of Gravitation
Spikes: 7
Other Notes: Excellent detection capabilities, general mode of operation is to fly up into the air, spot an enemy from an extreme distance, Lash themselves multiple times in that direction and then tap all their weight as they impact.

Fight me, @BitBitio

I'd rather you were not an abomination. I can edit it, but for now I'm fighting Frond:D.

Kane spotted a DA acolyte killing TUBA soldiers, and Sentinels. Kane growled. Nobody hurt his Sentinels. He charged, swinging an aluminum coated machete at the acolyte.

Ahch. If you want to fight me, we'll do it tomorrow, not in game tomorrow, but IRL tomorrow. I need an excuse, though. Bloodbath purges, but not needlessly.

"Yes. Where is Solace? how many troops do we have?" Tevarah looked around, at the other troops that were looking at them. "Come girl we must talk somewhere less populated, where is the Strategy tent?"

Girl? For a moment Syen wanted to say something, then she just nooded and pointed to a tent a few feet away. She hadn't been there, but she had seen some of the leaders enter it a few times. She wasn't sure if she was allowed to go in there, but decided that it didn't matter any more.
"The strategy tent is over there."
She got down from her horse, tied it to a pole, and looked at Essun when she grabbed her bag.
"I'm too old to be called a girl."
She complained quietly, while facing the horse, so that he couldn't see her lips moving. Essun only laughed and Syen sighed, then turned around, waiting for Tevarah to enter the tent, so that she could follow him.

Bit, are you planning to get Kane killed? If so, now might be an emotional time to do it.

Also, Rashan’s ditching you. Sorry.

Caer heard a scuffle behind him, but he didn’t turn back, as he ran, he saw the Abominations descend on the public, tearing them apart.

They looked horrifying.

Sunken in eyes, sharp teeth, permanently sweaty, these things were true creatures of horror. They growled, and as Caer tried to take a glimpse at their cognitive aspects, all he saw was hate. Pure hatred of anything.

As he ran, he called for Mace. He needed his help.

Re: Aluminium and affecting piercings, finally managed to get a WoB.

Kaymyth

I asked the question about chromium vs a Compounder with both invested and un-Invested metals in both their stomach and piercings.

Brandon Sanderson

What it boils down to is this:

1) Yes, the piercings will get burned off.

2) The non-Invested metals go before the Invested ones. He said that because invested metals are harder to [affect], it takes a little extra time and effort to get them to burn off. So a Leecher trying to clean out a Compounder would have to get a good grip and hang on for a few seconds.

3) Chromium burns about as quickly as duralumin, so if you're trying to burn off a lot of metals, it is possible to run out of chromium before your target is clean. This would probably only be an issue when dealing with larger pieces (like jewelry) rather than your standard metal-flakes-in-the-stomach deal.

https://wob.coppermind.net/events/101-conquest-46/#e881

So anything Invested is going to take time and also extra effort, anything big is going to take time and also maybe more chromium than you would have.

Devaan stood in his canton, his small squad of Marines standing guard, every time a Daemon or a abomination passed the border to the canton, a marine would report it, and it's fate was sealed.

He heard shouts, screams and sounds of flesh tearing.

"HELP! MACE! I NEED HELP!" Rashan's voice. Calling for help? Devaan tapped speed from the doorway to the canton HQ and in an instant he was by Rashan's side, running along with him.

"Need a hand?" Devaan grinned, gesturing to his now aluminium foot styled peg-leg

“Huh,” Caer said, still running. “That must have hurt.”

Approacing an alleyway, Caer took a sharp right turn, towards one of the taller skyscrapers in AlleyCity. Devaan was still running with him.

“Hey, do you have any sound amplifying cards?” He asked Devaan. “Like a sound Aon or something?”

Suddenly, a Stranger appeared, being constantly storing Connection, so Caer almost didn’t notice it until it was about to stab him, to which Caer dodged barely.

”Watch out!” He shouted to Devaan. He could tap speed, and so could Devaan, but this monster was spiked with 5x as much as that.

The battle was getting serious.

Posted

"Watch out!" Rashan shouted to Devaan, as for some reason, Rashan swerved to avoid an attack from something that wasn't there.

Behind you He thought to himself, something going off in his mind

Devaan saw a shadow, he'd been just barely tapping atium, enough so he could see a shadow right before it attacked, but not any more than that.  He slid, coating his normal foot and right hand with stormlight and sliding down the street, dodging the attack and grabbing the attack's wrist with his free hand, not moving to where the stranger is, but where it was going to be. Devaan grabbed the attacker's wrist, and flung the stranger over his shoulder, redrawing the stormlight into his body and grabbing on to the stranger as it fell to the ground, Devaan took a single steel card out and plunged it in the stranger's chest. Once found, Devaan had to keep a steady eye on the attacker, or else he'd lose it and the stranger would simply fade away. After stabbing it several more times in strategic locations around the neck area, some in the head, some in the upper chest, the stranger stilled

"Rashan. Burn chromium and grab this thing, you'd need to hold onto it for about ten seconds or so to get rid of it's spikes" Devaan told his friend.

Devaan had no idea why he was attacked, but was lucky that he hadn't completly shut off his atium, or he might be dead now, that, and his honed instincts kept him alive in the fight.

Shocked, Caer walked over to the monster, only noticing it because Devaan was staring at it.

Reaching it, Caer leeched it of its spikes. Overhead, buildings were being burnt down, and people were being thrown around and killed.

Monsters crawled through the alleyways. Caer could sense them,  that any moment, they would strike.

“So, yeah.” He said to Devaan, still eyeing the Stranger. “Any sound amplifying cards? I could use them. Up there.” He pointed to the skyscraper.

Devaan ran through his list of cards he kept in his head. He had silencing cards, which after an hour or two could be retooled, but that would take too much time. He had cards that could create sound, but those won't create specific sentences, just sirens and such

"No, what's your plan? I still might be able to help" Devaan told Rashan

Posted (edited)

“To create a speech.” Caer said. “To he heard all over the AlleyCity. And to -” he stopped himself.

“Yeah, a speech.” He resumed, still obscuring a little bit of information.

“Do you have any emotional allomancy cards?”

Edited by I think I am here.

"Oh yeah, I got a ton of those, take a look through my deck for cards with the book symbol on them, lots of those will be either zinc or brass."

Devaan handed Rashan his deck of cards, something he very rarely did.

Quote

So the book symbol is a symbol of a suit in the deck.

So put it this way:

Blades = Spades

Shields = Clubs

Boots = Diamonds

Books = Hearts

so you'll find a two of books, for example.

"I can read out the speech, the aons in my body will help strengthen my-"

An idea flickered in Devaan's head.

Aons

Devaan quickly fished through his shoes, he stored unsealed, but empty nicrocilminds there in secret compartments

He quickly took several, and stored individual aonic effects that were trailing off his body as the Aons glowed faintly.

"Use this, it will make you stronger in every way, including your voice, you can be much louder than usual with it, and can speak for much longer"

Devaan tapped his connectionminds to the Dor a little stronger than usual, and the glow in his skin returned to it's usual level.

Posted (edited)

“Thanks,” He said, rifling through the deck and coming up with multiple emotional allomancy cards, as well as taking the specialised aon card Devaan.

Hs also pocketed an Aon Tia card, premodified to Devaan’s base.

Just in case.

Devaan noticed Rashan pocket a card, he ignored it. It was Nine of boots from what he could see, and that was keyed to Devaan's canton, he had a teleport ring that brought him to the same place, so he didn't mind if someone else took it.

"I'll meet you at the top of the skyscraper" Devaan said, keeping an eye on Rashan as he climbed the building

I’ll reply to this in the morning, but good RPing.

EDIT: Just had a cup of coffee and woah I'm on a rush. Will be continuing now:

Caer watched as Devaan scaled the building, and decided he would take the more conservative approach, entering the skyscraper by the doors and climbing up the stairs. Fortunately, he didn't see any civilians here. Most had been evacuated to the various shelters. Good. Caer's plan would be easier then.

As he scaled the steps he took a break around Floor 155 storms, this building was tall. Caer continued, but occasionally he heard a scraping noice behind him. One time he looked back to see...

Nothing.

Huh. How odd, Caer thought as a Flamebringer burst out of the wall and grabbed ahold of him, setting his clothes on fire. Storms.

Caer tossed the Flamebringer aside, but was quickly greeted by a flurry of teleportive and speedy attacks as the monster tried to get Caer from behind, lighting the whole floor on fire with its rampage. Caer tried to escape, but the stairs were crowded by a Dread, another Hemalurgic contruct. It choked Caer with its flurry of hard hitting emotions before was hit again by the Flamebringer, this time lashing itself to hit him across the room.

They flew through various rooms of the burning floor, Caer and the Flamerbringer, but Caer managed to leech it, sending them both tumbling towards the wall. But while the monster quickly recovered, Caer didn't. It kicked Cser as it threw another fireball his way.

Ah, rust. Grabbing a nearby dead body, it absorbed most of the impact and Caer only got tumbled a few feet. Roaharan feet, that was. But wait, there was something pouring out of the body's pockets.

Spheres. Stormlight. Caer breathed it in, and this time managed to heal enough to catch the Flamebringer's punch before it transported him to the Cognitive Realm and back, confusing him.

Ah, there it was again, the suffocation of dispsair. Caer tried to run to the Dread, but it forced its powers harder on him, cracking his mind. Or at least it felt like it. But no, he couldn't die now.

This time, as the Flamebringer lashed itself towards him, Caer tapped steel when he ducked, sending the monster tumbling into the Dread. And when Caer tried to fight the Flamebringer, it instinctively teleported, accidentally bringing Caer and the Dread into the Cognitive Realm as well.

Only difference was, Caer was smart enough to know to hold on.

The last Caer saw of the Dread was it tumbling into the Cognitive Ocean as the Flamebringer transported Caer back to the physical world. Frantic, Caer tried to distract the monster by lighweaving a replica of itself, but a fireball quickly evaporated that illusion. Clever girl.

The beast cornered Caer, spreading flames like tentacles in all directions as a cruel grin smothered it's stupid pale face. Caer had nothing. But wait. Maybe...

Cser used Progression on the beast, and watched as it returned from pale to a normal colour, and the face turned  from a smile to a frown. Oh yeah, Caer and forgot he could use the surges on all three Realms as well. Which meant that by healing the Flamebringer Physically, he had also healed its mind and spirit.

Which meant no more monster, and instead the human test subject the DA had used. "Is it still 2015..." She mumbled as Caer herded her to the lower floors, the ones that's weren't burning, as he went back up the floors to the roof, where Devaan was waiting.

"What took you so long?" He said with a grin.

"Oh, only two storming abominations." Caer said, looking down. Storms, were his clothes that burnt?

"Let's get to speech-making." He puffed.

Syen nodded and stood at an respectful distance.

"I guessed you had to be someone important with all these soldiers around."

She was silent for a minute, thinking about how to sum up what happened.

"I haven't been part of the actual fighting, as I am no fighter but I've been to the city and helped the people there. In short the DA was attacked and their abominations are loose, killing everybody they can. There are of course soldiers of the Black Crusade and some of them have tentakles all over their bodies. Solace left in the same direction some TUBA members went and I haven't seen him since then. But his reserve entered the city not even an hour ago."

I hope I got that right and there isn't too much information and she had a chance to know all this.
