israel8491 she/her
How are all the names pronounced? when listening to the Splitercast Reads I noticed that Feathers pronounced many names differently than I do. A-do-lin: A as in apple, stress on the first syllable Re-NAR-in SA-dee-us shuh-LAHN Syl: pronounced like 'window sill' Tyn: pronounced like 'tin can' KAL-uh-din Also, I've heard Jasnah's name pronounced with a 'Y' in the place of the 'J.' Where did that come from? Opinions? It would be really nice if Sanderson had a pronunciation guide.
Delightful
Brandon's general attitude is 'pronounce it how you like,' but I think you're looking for this thread.
Bloodfalcon he/him
Brandon does have a pronunciation guide that he gives to Kate Reading and Michael Kramer, the orators who read the audiobooks, but he said that even they change things sometimes. As mentioned, his stance is that they are open to interpretation.
Fifth of Daybreak he/him
At the signing I went to he really stressed that 25% of the creative process is you the reader filling in the gaps (how characters look and sound, and how the names are pronounced.) To this day I think Feruchemist should be pronounced Fir-ro-shem-ist, just because that sounds really cool to me.
Argent he/him
In-world, at least in Alethkar and Jah Kaved, J is pronounced s Y, at least in the beginning of the word. Jasnah, Jezrien, Jah Kaved - all those start with a ya / ye sound. But @Delightful is right, of course, Brandon has been saying for ages that he doesn't care how we pronounce the names. Windshard
I've heard Brandon pronounce Jasnah with a /y/ in his reading of the WoR prologue, and in WoR " “Kaladin?” The voice was Rock’s, with his distinctive Horneater accent. He pronounced the name “kal-ah-deen,” instead of the normal “kal-a-din.” " so it looks like you say it with a Horneater accent which is totally okay. Brandon is chill.

KamorianKandra he/him
I have always pronounced Jasnah with a Y. I also pronounce Sadeas like Sa-day-us, and Renarin like Ren-uh-rin.
StormingTexan he/him
On thing that slightly bothered me in the audio version is Kate and Michael pronounce Sadeas name different but that is the only one I can remember so pretty consistent none the less.
FeatherWriter she/her
There's actually another thread about pronunciations going on right now, and I went ahead and threw down a pronunciation guide in that one. (Also, I love hearing that people have listened to Splintercast. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.)

However, in old Alethi, the J makes a J sound. This leads the prelude and one interlude on WoR in particular to have JES-ree-en, rather than YES-ree-en. The One Who Connects he/him
Meanwhile I pronounce it like this: reh ("eh" with an "r," basically) chef - fear (imagine them combined with only one "f")
