[Life&Death]

Soul senses something from beyond the fourth wall. A message came through a crack in it and Soul grabbed it. It was a message from his patron, Life. 

“Huh, the Alleyverse has gotten more important and powerful I guess? Not exactly sure what a sub forum means but I think that’s a good thing.” 

The breach in the fourth wall fixed itself as suddenly as it broke.

While waiting for Kilo to answer Syen continued walking over to Hellbent and Soul. Soul was easy to see, throwing knives at something behind some rocks and only a few meters away. She looked over the shattered planes, once again amazed by their strange beauty. For a moment she got the feeling of everything become more real and official and a glipse of some strange people grinning, then it vanished leaving her only with a real good feeling.

"You know that the Alethi were at war with the Parshendi and after the Everstorm started, the Parshmen ran away? Well most of the original Parshendi were killed or forced to turn into something new. The few who didn't, had to go into hiding as the Almighty's enemy has been active on Roshar lately. These are the chldren of the original Parshendi who refused to fight or transform into their gods. The children are being enslaved because of it." Anger started to swell within Kilo as he explained the unfair obstruction of freedom.

In a moment, Kilo felt the Realms coming closer together. A surge of Power, of Connection.

Syen was quiet for a few breaths, thinking about what he had told her. The war wasn't news, but what happend to the remaining Parshmen. She had heard stories of murders, but dismissed them as exceptions, hurriing back to the shattered plains. It was easier that way. The war, the everstorm - the events left her feeling helpless and so she simply continued with her life, shunning people, closing her eyes.

"Thank you." she answered quietly. Not giving him an explanation how she had missed this. She would help Kilo and afterwards, maybe it was time to start listening to Essun.

Arriving at the spot where Soul waited she stood still, a bit unsure what they planned to do next or what training involved for them. She had never really trained with stormlight. She did what she had to, learning it along the road.

[Life&Death]

"Ah, you guys showed up. Kilo, this is your mission, I'm just here to grant abilities and help if need be, but you should take charge, it will help you swear oaths if you do." Soul was floating upside down in the air while speaking. "So take charge."

[Kaj he/him]

"My plan was to practice our abilities in the chasms, spy on the camp, and then sneak into the camp during the clashing of storms and take the children somewhere safe. We still have a day until the storms draw close, so we should go spy on the camp." Kilo stood up straight. "I know the chasms in this area well enough to get us within patrol boundaries. When we get there, Hellbent, would you cast an illusion around us so that we can observe the camp in an aerial view?"

Tena soared over the Shattered Plains (a place she liked visiting because it was so weird), arcing with Steelpushes and flipping her whole body over and over, trying to maintain a sense of connection to the ground as she did so. She saw some people gathering on the edge of a plateau and abruptly stopped Pushing against the last coin she'd launched away from her, tossing another one she could Push against at an angle that would toss her more forward than upward, simultaneously Awakening her trousers to strengthen her legs. She used the Surge of Abrasion to make herself frictionless as she hit the ground, running in a sort of way that looked like ice skating (something she'd learned on Nalthis), and tapped her speed Metalminds to make herself get to the group of people faster.

As she arrived, Tena lessened her frictionlessness and speed so that she could walk up to the people without just gliding by them. When she stood before them, all their eyes on her, shocked, except for one with crazy-looking eyes, who was just looking at her crazily, she said, "What's y'all doin'?"

"We're headed to spy on a camp. Would you like to join."

"Uh, yeah. Obviously. Does it look like I have anything else to do?"

Syen smiled at Tena and extended her hand.
"I'm Syen. I don't think we've already met."

 

[BitBitio he/him]

Rohan pole-vaulted off the building and soared through the air. He stored weight to increase his flight. He loftily landed next to Soul.

[+Ark1002]

Hellbent grew bored of all the formalities. "Can we go already? Spying sounds fun, and we're just sitting around! I'm bored!"

[+Sorana she/her]

Syen shot him a quick glance.

"All right. I'm ready to go."

She looked over to Soul and Kilo.

"You offered to help me out of the chasms. Could you take me with you? Otherwise I'd have to walk. And it seems I'm zur only one unable to cover a great distance in a short time."

Sure then turned her attention back to Tena.

[Sherlock Holmes he/him]

"I could carry you there," Tena said, managing to keep a straight face. "I mean, I could also run wherever we're going, but I think carrying you around while Steelpushing on coins would be faster." She paused for a second. "So are we ready to roll, or what!?"

[Kaj he/him]

"Alright. Let's go." Kilo swept into the nearest chasm, heading North. 

[+Sorana she/her]

"Thanks for the offer Tena! I gladly accept."

[+Ark1002]

Hellbent leaped up. He might not be able to steelpush or lash himself into the sky, but e was strong and fast, especially with stormlight to boost him. He took off in the direction Kilo had gone, jumping over the chasms. The chasms he couldn't jump over, he soulcast the air into bronze bridges. One of the many advantages of being a lightweaver. As he leapt he heard a voice. Why are you doing this Anthony? Don't they deserve to be slaves. I am a god. And these abominations, they shouldn't be freed. HEaring the voice, Hellbent wavered in mid leap. 

Hellbent yelled, "NO! They are intelligent beings, and they deserve to be free!"

The voice came again. Either way, you don't have the strength. Al you have is stormlight and a sword. Your friends don't need you. Face it Anthony Nightshade. You're worthless. Scared Hellbent ran back, leaping over chasms. In his panic, he forgot about one of the bridges, he jumped straight across, but didn't get halfway there. He fell right in between the group.

"Sorry. I haven't heard the voices in months."

[+Sorana she/her]

Syen jumped shocked backwards. Then she collected herself, carefully stepping closer.

"Did you hurt yourself when you fell? Can I help you? Should I take a look?"

[+Ark1002]

Hellbent sat up. "I'll be fine. Just give me a minute to collect myself." After, sitting there for exactly a minute, Hellbent sat up, embarrassed that everyone was giving him weird looks. Not only did I make a fool out of myself, but I also have this stupid mental issue. And I must be the only one in the entire cosmere with such a stupid problem! "I might want to run through the chasms instead of leaping them though." He ran off, talking to vortex.

[Life&Death]

Soul lashed himself in the general direction of the camp and fell that ways, still upside down.

[Sherlock Holmes he/him]

Tena picked up Syen, somewhat awkwardly, as she hadn't actually ever carried anyone before, and dropped a coin, launching herself in the same direction the crazy guy appeared to be going. Tena managed to keep up with the crazy guy with the help of her Steelrunning, and soon found herself right next to Crazy Guy, going up and down ever-so-slightly next to him. 

"So, uh, what's your name?" Tena asked, trying to get over the fact that she was talking to a man who was literally falling sideways while having his head oriented towards the ground. 

Hey guys, I was just thinking that getting Soul a girlfriend would be cool! Just saying. This isn't part of the RP talk.

Kilo arrived at the base of the plateau. Down here in the chasms, no one would look for him. He slid into one of the cracks that lead into the mines. Apparently no one else realized these were here. That, or they don't care. It looked like no one had been in here since he had. Just in case, he sent Abi to scout it out then meet him at the rondevou point. He then slipped back out, around the corner to the rondevou point, to wait for the others.

Hellbent arrived at the rondevu second, he had jumped in a hidden river with fast currents, shaving off a considerable amount of time. As he walked up, glistening with water, he thought to himself, I will finally get a chance to do something good in the world. I've never done much, and it is starting to weigh down my conscience. 

"So, what do we do until all the others arrive? And what will we do once they do arrive?"

[Sherlock Holmes he/him]

"Geez, do you honestly think it would take me that long?" Tena said, landing next to Hellbent and putting Syen down. "Oh, and, by the way, Soul stopped to look at an interesting rock on the way here. That's his name, right? Soul? Kinda weird name."
