Guest Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 How does one get higher rank, by posting a lot? That certainly helps. You click the green arrow in the lower right corner of someone's post to give an upvote. The upvotes show up in your profile and the green bar below your pic in every post you make. As you get more upvotes, your rank changes. For example, as I type this, your rank is "Spren," with a total of one upvote. I will upvote you in a second, giving you a rank of "Darkeyes," (I think) with two upvotes.Getting upvotes depends on whether or not people like your posts, I guess. But don't worry about it too much. If you want to post, post. Some people are just not as rep-conscious as others. You stop caring about rep as much as time goes on. Some people like to just have a ton of rep. Some people like to have a 1:1 rep:post ratio or better. I have had both, but it doesn't matter a whole lot to me. Kobold King, for example, has a ton of posts and almost a two ratio. BenevolentTyrant has a 10 rep:post ratio, which is just insane. Anyway, hope that answered your question.
Curiosity he/him Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I have reached the rank of Full Feruchemist. I considered not participating anymore to maintain the rank. Nah.
Kestrel she/her Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Can -1000 posts be "bowl of cereal that's been sitting out for like an hour"
Voidus Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Just pointing out that the list has now reached 100 upvotes
Kobold King he/him Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Just pointing out that the list has now reached 100 upvotes It's... it's... It's beautiful. 1
Voidus Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Not even Brandon has any triple digit upvoted posts. 1
mail-mi he/him Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Just pointing out that the list has now reached 100 upvotes Nope, it's 99.
Claincy he/him Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) Nope, it's 99. I've got my eye on you Now it seems to me that this would be a good time to point to a couple of other worthy posts -Thaylen and Alethi Glyph Translation -Translation of the cover page of 'The Treatise Metallurgic' -An Alethi Font and transliterator, more recently posted here -Glyphs for Profiles -Hidden things in map of roshar -Chasm fan art, and Lyraina's other fan art -And ExMachinas art Oh, and maybe some of this persons posts There are plenty of others as well of course, but these are the first I thought of or refound. Chaos he/him Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 Currently there is no rank beyond Kobold's.
Left he/him Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Wait......God Beyond is the end? I thought there was one last one
Young Bard he/him Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I thought a lot of you would be interested in this. There is a suggestion by a user about replacing the term "Half-Breed", as it could be construed as offensive. Here's the link.
Young Bard he/him Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) WoR spoiler: -quietly pinches Curiosity's Oathstone. Orders him to forget that Oathstone's don't actually do anything. Causes universe to implode from paradoxical impossibilities.- Good for you! Edited June 10, 2015 by TheYoungBard
Kasimir he/him Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 The rank 'half-breed' seems to have been changed to 'Noble-Blooded'. I didn't get to see the threshold, but I'm guessing from Rubix's post that it should be the same. To be clear, The epic Epic is Noble-Blooded at rep 17. 2
Curiosity he/him Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 WoR spoiler: -quietly pinches Curiosity's Oathstone. Orders her to forget that Oathstone's don't actually do anything. Causes universe to implode from paradoxical impossibilities.- Good for you! I'm actually a him. Sorry for the confusion.
WayneSpren he/him Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Actually, there is Dragon. They're not all Cosmere.
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Dragon is Cosmere. They just haven't appeared in any of the published books yet. (Unless, did Brando confirm the recipient was a dragon?)
Guest Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) QUESTION You know Hoid's Letter, that is in The Way of Kings, it is given to a dragon right? BRANDON SANDERSON He calls himself an old reptile. QUESTION Is he immortal? BRANDON SANDERSON Functionally, meaning he doesn't age but can be killed. QUESTION And it is a he and not a she? BRANDON SANDERSON It is a he. Link. Emphasis mine.So he doesn't confirm the term "dragon," but I would say yes, the recipient of the letter is what we are calling a "dragon." Edited June 9, 2015 by Guest
Chaos he/him Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 It's not really a spoiler that dragons exist in the cosmere. There's a whole series called Dragonsteel, and he's said dragons are in it.
Guest Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Neither is Hoid a spoiler, because he's in the Cosmere and has books planned about him. I err on the side of caution with spoilers.
mail-mi he/him Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I've got my eye on you I swear it wasn't me.
skaa he/him Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) What am I? I'm... sorry. Edited June 13, 2015 by skaa 3
+Slowswift Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Petition for the lowest of the low rep to be "Nighthound." Saw that in the Reckoners RPG. Needs to happen. 1
