+Mistbreaker
Hello everyone! I have been following the Cosmere for a while but I only recently learned about this fansite. And since I, unfortunately, have very few friends that have read these amazing series, I was hoping I could find like-minded people that share my passion for these incredible tales. Now, some things about me. My name is Diego Feliu and I live in Panama City, Panama. You can also call me by the username I chose, Mistbreaker, if you prefer (Rust and Ruin, I can't believe it wasn't taken). I first learned about the Cosmere when I was looking for new books to enjoy during a plane trip in late 2016 and the more I read about the author's approach to these interconnected series the more it intrigued me so I decided to check out Elantris and since I was curious about the Graphic Audio audio drama version for the story, I decided to read and listen at the same time. Suffice to say, I became more mesmerized by the story than by the touristic attractions in my vacation, lol. Since then I have consumed all the Cosmere books that have been published so far for the worlds of Sel, Scadrial, and Nalthis, although I intend to start with Threnody next week. Anyway, I have a feeling I will have a great time with this community. And if there is anyone from Panama as well, I would love to talk. See you around! +Mistbreaker
Hi! That's a tough question, seeing as they are all amazing and in several cases, I loved many aspects of the books for different reasons. But, overall, I think I have to go with Hero of Ages. It was the most gripping, mindblowing and satisfying conclusion to an enjoyable trilogy I have ever seen. Moreover, it stirred some of my faith, which has been dormant for quite a while. It was the first time I ever got such a reaction from a novel so yeah, it takes the cognitive cake for me. However, if we are talking about my favorite audiobook adaptation of one of the Cosmere novels then I have to go with the Graphic Audio adaptation for Warbreaker. Now that was a soundtrack and voice acting worthy of a Shard. And that bonus/elaborated Endowment scene was epic to the extreme. Thanks for asking! What's your favorite one? Archer he/him
I have a tough time choosing. They're all good for different reasons. Mistborn has the best magic system, Elantris goes crazy with the plot twists, Reckoners has a Canadian guy in it, SA has crabs, and who can forget Warbreaker with the mercenary humour? If I had to choose one, I think I'd go with The Alloy of Law. I love the Wax and Wayne books, they're fantastic in every way! +Mistbreaker
I understand completely. It kind of makes me think of a response I hear Brandon Sanderson gave to someone that asked him what's his favorite character and he said something like "whoever I am writing at the moment." When it comes to him, the quality is so consistently great that no matter what book I read they are my favorite at least for a while. And that's not something I can say about most authors I know of.
Archer he/him
I think he stole that line from Robert Jordan To me Sanderson books are like listening to new music. I instantly love it, then binge it non-stop for a week. Then I move on to the next one and instantly love it.... You get the idea. Sanderson is addictive in the best way
+Mistbreaker
Sounds about right If you don't mind me asking, what would you like the mystery book he is working on to be about? Last I checked the progress was at 75% so I am assuming we will get an announcement in the coming months. Archer he/him
I'm hoping it's cosmere. Best case scenario it's Mistborn era 3, maybe a short story to get things started. That would be amazing. What are you hoping it will be?
+Mistbreaker
I am also hoping for Cosmere and Mistborn related specifically although I would be very surprised to see him write a short story set in that era before Lost Metal. Personally, I am hoping for a short story or novella shortly after the Catacendre, with Lord Spook and you know who (still unsure how to hide spoilers), culminating with you know who in the south. Barring that, maybe we will get short story follow up to SfSitFoH. There hasn't been much from that planet yet.
Argent he/him
Man, I've always wanted to know a Diego. It's a strong name. Welcome to the Shard! I hope you enjoy you time here. If you haven't noticed, we also have a Discord server, you can drop by there and chat with people more casually. And if you are interested in getting involved with the community, both the Coppermind wiki and the Arcanum website could use extra hands (or eyes, or ears...)
+Mistbreaker
Interesting. I will have to check the discord sometime. Maybe help out a bit with Coppermind too but I suspect I will spend more time there after I finally get the time to start the Stormlight archives in a massive binge. Still, thanks for the ideas! P.S. Heh, yeah, I love my name. Not that common around here either. Edited June 8, 2018 by Mistbreaker

The Harlem Worldhoppers he/him
Welcome to The Shard Diego! Sometimes it's crazy to think that Cosmere fans exist all around the globe! Quick question: If you could use one magic system from the Cosmere what would it be? I'd be a full feruchemist personally.

Full feruchemist as well but probably not for the reasons you think. You see, I am historical tour guide so the idea of filling tons of different aspects of Panamanian history into my copperminds and then accessing them at will for tours, classes and more would be amazing, and really useful in my line of work.
