Voidus, what would happen if someone tried to soulcast the almighty rock

They'd have to convince it to change into something else, plus it's Invested so it would be harder than normal.

Nei'an stumbled towards the rock. After the green mustached man had come to the cart, Nei'an ran.

Nei'an was done with mustaches.

Curious at the rock, Nei'an stole the popcorn and scrambled away, munching guiltily.

The rock sits passively as the popcorn that it can't eat is stolen from it.

Kalmar is I’m deep pain, but not so much that he in unable to transfer his pain with the lenses.

Sorry, I kinda forgot this was happening.

Septimus reversed the setting on his Pain Fabrial and backed up. Kalmar was guarding his lenses zealously, so Septimus fired two arrows at each of his legs.

Give me an hour or two. Sorry.

Edit: Kalmar was worried. He was injured in the leg, and found it difficult to move. So he changed into a copy of Septimus to surprise him, then shot him in the leg. If Septimus was gonna disable him, Kalmar would do the same.

I can continue. Sorry, I didn't get a notification because it wasn't a new post.

Surprise reduces effectivity of dodge, so it hits.

Laser to the leg = - 14 (not as much as it would be because I'll assume with your speed you get partially out of the way)

Kalmar = 36

Septimus = 43

Septimus jumped back as Kalmar morphed, turning into an exact clone of Septimus with a monocle. A laser hit his leg, and pain shot up. Luckily his fabrial absorbed some of it, and adrenaline helped as well. He grabbed a spare gemstone and put it in his right hand. He had a plan. He feinted a punch at Kalmar, but instead began to scorch the air with his Heat Fabrial.

Kalmar = 36 (damage pending(?), I'll need to see the reaction to this one)

Septimus = 43

As Septimus began to throw a punch, Kalmar tried to block the punch, but instead felt horrible, scorching heat. That stupid fabrial, he thought. Kalmar grabbed at what was on the arm and tried to break it on the ground, along with with his Firebringer's lenses. There was horrible burning.

Thanks.

*rolls 14* The fabrial is heavily damaged. Further use of it may still be possible, but will have unexpected consequences.

Heat = - 8

Kalmar = 28

Septimus = 43

Septimus grinned. He had taken the bait. As Kalmar shot his Firebringers lens at his fabrial, Septimus held his gemstone up to the laser. Burning lasers shot in all directions. Septimus was mostly protected, although his hand got badly burned. He held the gemstone as close to Kalmar as possible, hitting as many places as possible.

Clever move.

Homemade disco ball of death = - 21 (7d6 if anyone's interested)

Hand damage = - 9 (2d6 FYI)

Kalmar = 7

Septimus = 32

What damage were you using for the full laser? Because doesn't make much sense for it to do more damage when it's partially absorbed and split up in all directions.

Kalmar stumbled back. He was weak, and was definitely going to lose, but he could go down fighting. So he wrestled Septimus to the ground and started to punch him in the face.

My go to move when I know I am beat.

unrelated, but what do you guys think an Oculator lens would do made out of both invested white sand and black sand?
