Thanks!

In the next drawer, he finds a folded slip of paper.

Cep, somewhat paying attention to what was going on, noticed someone searching for him. He appeared nearby. "Hello, Ryver."

"Oh! Hello. Are you Cep?" he pronounced to like kep. "Would you like some tea?"

Cricket looked at her for a moment. "You seem . . . fine. How do you get through it?"

"No, just . . . go ask for Cep. He can explain everything. Or better yet, ask for Rebus. Just beware his words.

@kansasstormcursed for cep and @ dragonheir for Rebus

she swings her legs. "I... i geuss.. I know that eventually I will see them again. When I die. But I know they would want me to be happy. To have fun and whatnot. Besides helping others makes me happy. And so when I saw you were sad for a similar reason I am... I wanted to help you. Cause I know how it feels. My parents told me I was a curse. And everyone around me always dies... but... but I know im not actually cursed. Its not my fault. And the only thing I can do is keep on going. If I stop and fall to the sadness that would mean my parents were right."

Oh no, responsibility! Can we be in some abandoned ruins? It seems like a semi - practical place to start?

Ixa squinted around them. Old stone ruins, maybe from a city, opened out onto the river, slowly being torn apart by the water and the vines it sustained. Above, thick clouds eroded the sun, leaving a light akin to dusk even on daylight. The night would not be a bright one.

"Right. Um. Any suggestions?" Ixa asked. They scooped up a couple of loose stones and started trying - and failing miserably - to balance them as they spoke.

"There's water here, but I don't know if the vines are edible. The ruins might provide some shelter, provided they don't collapse on us entirely." They gave a strained half - smile. "This place looks like it's been empty for a long time. Let's just hope the cause for that is gone."

via nodded. "Right. Let's find a good shelter."

Sequence stood up with him, taking his arm to give him a bit of support as she offered him a cup of tea. “Mhm… Let’s not forget the time you died facing withergeists,” she said with a shudder. “Besides, if you’re going to go out of your way for my health, it’s only fair I do what I can to return the favor!” She smiled.

"...You're right." Unintelligible mumbled. "I'm sorry to worry you." He glanced at the cage, and some of the color returned to his face. "Right! The cure! If anything, what you just did provides further evidence that you can be cured! It was possible to draw out the darkness in my wound. Of course, such a crude method probably wouldn't work for your injury, but if there was someone who had a fine control over Chaotic Darkness, they could probably extract it from you without killing you!" He gestured to the rabbit. "Someone strong enough to control an army of wither-rabbits, someone they fear more than anyone else-perhaps the only person they fear."

“Perhaps it has fallen to ruin since then - this place looks deserted.”

"Perhaps..." Lyric pointed. "Look! There's a door!" as he spoke, a battered neon light flickered to dim life over the door. It seemed to an advertisement promoting the mall. "Home of the great Ortithox the sage. All who enter here shall never again know fear."

"See?" Lyric said. "I told you! He might still be here!" He set off at a brisk walk towards the mall.

Jim was rather concerned, but he followed their guide without comment.

A drone flew up to Cricket, interrupting his conversation with Atlas. "Cricket, there's been a slight security breach at the vault," Malevolence's voice crackled. "and I'm worried about our countermeasures against Narration. Since you're not going to be using your powers in this fight with Rebus, would you consider charging up another one of battery? I want to be able to completely nullify Rebus's Narration if he breaks into the vault, and I'm not certain rerouting power from the main Nullifying system is a good idea."

Ryver handed him a cup of tea.

He looked Asian, with waist length dark red wavy hair and garnet-red eyes to match, and was dressed in a plain loose shirt and pants, nothing special or interesting.

Ryver frowned. "I'm not to sure honestly. Sequence directed me to talk to Cricket cause he's an Enuller, and he said I should talk to you." he slipped his tea, "I think that my world is part of the Thread, but doesn't know it yet. I think my mission is too find my world again, and make them aware of the Thread."

"Interesting. What were you asking of Sequence, that she sent you to Cricket?" He took another sip of his tea. "As for your world, it is most likely a part of the Thread—few of us originate outside of the Thread, though there are some. I would show caution bestowing awareness of the Thread on a large group of people—some cannot comprehend it, and it can drive others mad."

"Sequence said to talk to him because he's an Enuller, and should know a lot about Thread Mechanics." he ignored the comment about telling people about the Thread.

"Well now, that's a broad category. If you are searching for worlds within the Thread, @NameIess has a world of doors. Outside of the Thread grows complicated, and is generally sought to be avoided."

"Indeed!" Subversion reappeared. "Behold." She grabbed Ryver's arm. Suddenly, they were standing on a cloud in a world with green skies filled with flocks of dragons. "This isn't a skill exclusive to Narrators either. Cricket could do it even before awakening his Ennulling powers. I'm sure if you looked hard enough, there would be artifacts capable of such things." An instant later, Ryver was back at the party, Subversion nowhere to be seen.

"I don't know anything about you except your name and that I was meant to fight you. 18142 didn't tell me much. Who are you?"

Named, and all my characters that have been to TLT, know who I am to some extent, because they've played BftS alongside me. The ones that are clones know that they're clones of me. However, they don't know I'm their Author, or what Authors are, except 18142 because one of Coder's characters told him.

"$%&#!" Ryver cursed loudly. That had definitely been a different world. He looked around for Subversion, but couldn't see her(?). So he glanced over at Cep again. "...Did you see that?"

Cep chuckled. "Not as such, but I know what happened. There are indeed several ways out of here. Possibly the most discreet that I am aware of is finding a door to The Door-Way, and from there traveling elsewhere."
