It was strained, as if the speaker was shouting from a great distance, but despite the faintness annoyance and anger were evident. Fall....asleep.....storming......fool.

Shadow's eyes opened to a place filled with fog. Unformed Shapes swirled around him, never quite coalescing. From behind him, a voice spoke. "Finally. I thought you'd never get it."
