"I was keeping the timeline pure, the universe would not have allowed it."

Nameless held up his hand. "Look, you obviously aren't going to admit what you are. Even to yourself, perhaps. But I know you now. Don't try to fool me. It won't work."

Sequence punched Nameless in the jaw. “Shut UP! Do you even know what you’re saying?! None of this is Thaidakar’s fault! The Witherlord is too powerful to be stopped at a whim, and you should know this. Thaidakar couldn’t have saved Unintelligible either. Withergeists are tougher than you give them credit for. And my torture, it was my fault and my fault alone that I let that thing into my soul. So stop. Thaidakar isn’t at fault for any of this.”

Nameless looked at her in surprise. "There was a point in the timeline at which the Witherlord could have died. I could have done it. Thaidakar could have stepped in to ensured I killed him, or done the deed himself. Thaidakar could have teleported Unintelligible away. He could have shown you what would happen if you agreed to become a withergeist. He didn't." He shrugged. "He doesn't care about you, or about anyone else. All he cares about is the story he creates. A true Narrator of old."

Thaidakar chuckled, "yes, some of the time."

"says the old one, you hardly care about anything, you would have killed Mythos for being a withergeist, you had Spook killed at first, you did many things, but so did i." he sighed, "you are truly a fool in every aspect of the word."

Sequence shook her head. “If both you and Thaidakar could have prevented all of those things, why didn’t you? Why didn’t any other Narrator? My comprehension of all of this is subpar, but what I do understand is that you’re blaming Thaidakar for failing to do something that you weren’t bothered to do either.”

"Thaidakar keeps his memories. He knew every bad thing that would happen before it happened. He remembered this conversation the very first time he met you. And he changed nothing with this knowledge."

"No, Spook was doing his father's orders, you then killed him, he resurrected at Taldain then came to kill you. this is true, it won't change the truth, you will forever more be the arrogant and callous narrator you always were."

"Time doesn't break on TLT. And if it did, it could be fixed. Narrators can do things like that."

Thaidakar's face was unreadable, "Narrators are idiots, all of them, we are specks of sand in a greater universe."

Sequence looked at Thaidakar, then back at Nameless. She thought about what Nameless said. If it was true, Thaidakar could have saved Unintelligible. He could have spared Sequence all of that suffering. Oh gods… 200 pages of it. He could have ended all of this before it even started. “I… are you sure…? Thaidakar is a good person, if he could have stopped the Witherlord, I’m… I’m sure he would have…”

"I'm 99% sure that was a movie. Either that or he killed Moni."

Nameless laughed. "Will it save your avatars? You know what your death did to them. They are fading. They are disappearing from existence. All of them. Perhaps Rond will save a few, but thousands of them are still dead. You could have saved them. And you did nothing."

Nameless slammed his hand against the wall, throwing out chunks of stone. "The timeline would not fall apart. It doesn't work like that." He took a deep breath, calming himself. "This conversation is useless. You will not accept reality. Goodbye, Thaidakar. I wish you well on your travels, and your Narration."

Sevel floated near Sequence, a distant look on the orb, "I don't know, but I think the best thing is to trust your heart and your gut. I am told I am a remnant of the future thaidakar's soul, but I don't really remember much now that I have given the memories to Thaidakar."

“… That’s the thing. The logical side of me wants to trust Nameless, but the rest of me wants to trust Thaidakar. He’s my friend. He’s a good person.” Tears welled up in Sequence’s eyes, and she vanished.

Sevel bobbed up and down slightly, deep in thought.

Meanwhile Thaidakar sat in his city of Kalithor rebuilt. memories seemed to creep about in every corner. this was where he had become god, this was where it had all started. this was also where it had ended.

Fuzzy owned a garden in Kalithor. It was the perfect place to spy on the secret agent that was fooling Thaidakar.

I don't, but... I didn't remember anything, then.
