Thaidakar threw back his head and laughed, "well the witherlord isn't a normal enemy. they can do things others can't. Sequence was tricked into joining the witherlord which allowed them a connection, Withy strengthened that connection so he could summon her, except here is the thing, I have a connection to Sequence too." Thaidakar finally looked at Moni, his eyes glistened with tears, "Sequence is my friend, I can't fail anyone anymore than I already have."

“Well, I can’t help you on that point, but I would like some clarification.” Moni stood up. “How did you convince Sequence to leave the Witherlord? The last time you tried that, Sequence tried to kill you before you could get more than a sentence out. What made this time different?”

Thaidakar smiled, "I took her away from the voices, away from the screams, away from the witherlord." Thaidakar took a drink of his root, "I took her into a vision I had created, with no dark clouds, no voices. but it took something out of me to keep those voices out," Thaidakar took a sip of his drink, "my leg if you remember was effected."

Thaidakar sighed, "yes, but there was something," Thaidakar searched for the word, "different about Sequence when she attacked me. if you had been there during the vision you would have realized that she was on our side no matter what." Thaidakar smiled, "Sequence is on our side and I know it."

"I'm not asking because I think Sequence is untrustworthy, I'm asking because I want to know how Sequence was healed."

Thaidakar looked up, "Moni, I realized what was giving Sequence the voices in that moment."

The survey, mortified, assured her that that was not what it had meant at all. Especially since if Moni died, so would it.

"How are we supposed to trust that you have an accurate interpretation of events?" the Wanderer queried. "Historically, that has not been the case."

Meanwhile Spook slept on a well aired bed in Taldain. it was better to have an open room with windows, he was king and he deserved the best. Suddenly a loud noise awoke Spook, Spook sat up sharply. Two guards entered the room, the older of the two said, "Lord Spook, we have an emergency, the god of all has sent an avatar, they are not impressed."

suddenly Micheal, avatar of Thaidakar, entered the room and said, "Spook, you're alive!"

Spook grimaced, "Micheal, go and tell Thaidakar that this planet is mine, my revenge is coming and Thaidakar will be spared if he steps aside."

Micheal drew a large sword made out of investiture, "Spook," Micheal said warningly, "don't, just don't, Thaidakar has enough on his plate now with the Witherlord, what are you trying to do?"

Spook drew his own sword, long and made of sand colored metal, "Thaidakar is a man who thinks he knows everything, he does know a lot, but because of that he overlooks many things, this planet is mine and Nameless's blood will stain my sword and his body will be burned."

Spook slammed his sword into Micheal's stomach with the flat side of his blade. Micheal oofed, he lunged and Spook blocked.

"I-Well, I don't know. I didn't actually see it happening. You would know better than me. You're the one who told me that the withergeist talked. Of course, all withergeists technically talk, but I thought it was more of a mindless gibbering."

The survey explained that whenever it was finished, it would cease to be- and that if Moni died, that would cause an end to the survey.

Thaidakar stroked his imaginary beard as he took a drink of root, "no, Sequence looked like she was struggling to make a decision over something, her face was confused, I think. hmm," Thaidakar took a drink of his root, "the moment was when I looked at Sequence, I was worried, I had no idea how to save Sequence, then it clicked, the voices were coming from inside of Sequence but from an external source, I then took Sequence into a vision, which seemed to work."

Thaidakar turned, "because I have excellent memory," he tapped his head, "comes with being a god and having access to lots of breaths and copper minds to store my memories in to be retrieved later. and if you are wondering my copper minds are spread out between my avatars so that I can still tap them to retrieve them."

Micheal thrusted and Spook miss blocked and the thrust hit Spook's shoulder, "ow." 

Spook's sword dropped and Micheal grabbed it quickly and threw it aside, Spook shouted to the guards, "GET HIM."

Seven guards surrounded Micheal. Micheal dropped the swords and put his hands up, but that was when someone entered the palace.
