Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 "Silence? Woah, woah woah, can you just... slow down? In fact, lets just start with this, who are all of you guys?" "Oh, okay!" Sophie said emphatically. "So I'm Star's youngest sister... Wait, is Ember youn- GUYS EMBER IS YOUNGER THAN ME OH MY AUTHOR!!!!" She squealed with delight. "Uuuuh... Ember?" "Oh, right, sorry. Okay, Star has two sisters, me and Ember. Ember's with Star though so she doesn't matter right now. That's Michael-" she pointed to him as she said this "-and he's a mime, he works for Silence. Silence... He's... He's a big powerful... guy. We don't need to go over that. Um... Oh! And this is Xinoehp!" She ran over to him and jumped up and down beside him. "He's the best." "O...kay? And how does Star..." "Xino and Star are like really good friends. But it's kinda complicated with the universe split, 'cause this isn't Star's Xino, ya know?" "I'm just more confused now." "Okay, well... I should explain the universes thing, shouldn't I?" "Yes! Please do." "Right. So Star was... erased from existence a while back. But then she was able to come back. And then Silence decided to rip the universes in half. One with Star and one without." "Sophie... Erased from existence? How... exactly...?" "Some other Narrators did it 'cause they didn't like plot." "Plot?" "This. What's happening right now. So, like, in the other universe, the one with Star, there's a lot of plot. But here, they like randomness. We here, all of us, we are part of the plot. The story." "The story that you are... Narrating?" "No, no, no. We're Narrators, but.... we're part of our own story, too. A separate one. About us." "Where the Narrators are like... the characters?" "Yeah! You're gettin' it!" "Okay... And I'm assuming Star... started that story? 'Cause they erased her because of the plot?" "Yeah! Yeah, so they erased her, but then Ember brought her back." "Your sister." "Yeah!" Sophie grinned. "Your such a fast learner, isn't he a fast learner, Michael?"
Truthless of Shinovar he/him Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 But that was irrelevant. Because out of nowhere, a rainbow shot out of a portal, carrying with it a piece of feta. Oddly enough, both the rainbow and the feta weren’t bold, as if they were from another plane.

Now, it seemed, the feta was somewhere else. Somewhere...different. Kernel Candy Corn looked on without passion as the feta appeared. He casually waved a hand, causing the feta to explode. He looked over the battle, watching the knights of Potatallia fight desperately to protect their outpost. He turned towards a messenger, saying: "They are about to fall back. Prepare a Cavalry charge, hit them while they are fleeing, then pick off the survivors with arrows." He walked over to the command tent, not even bothering to check that the knights would do as he said. He knew their every move before they made it, every strategy, every plan, every trap, he knew all of it. After all, he thought smiling, I don't just know their strategy, I wrote their strategy. It amused him that the narrators had attempted to revive Commander Candy, when Commander candy was already alive and well. He smiled, listening to the last desperate shouts of the doomed knights.
Lunamor she/her Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 From a place that was far away (yet not far enough) a being watched. It saw the destruction, the countless buildings reduced to rubble. It saw the vegetable soldiers ripped to shreds before its wonderful, beautiful warriors. It saw the Champions rise up and crush all obstacles in their paths with nothing more than a though, nothing more than a simple step forwards. They proved to be effective distractions. Terribly entertaining. But of course it didn’t actually see, for sight was impossible for such a being. It smiled at what was before it. A big, wide smile that slowly crept up its face like cracks in an old concrete sidewalk. Like a tree was growing just underneath its skin, roots struggling to break free. The edges of the smile tugged further and further upwards, unnaturally high, but never reached the eyes. But of course it didn’t actually smile, for a smile was impossible for such a being. It laughed as it finally felt the pure, untainted form of triumph reach its center. It was a growling, scratching sound, like metal screeching on metal. Its form shook as it finally let itself laugh for the first time in eons. But of course it didn’t actually laugh, for laughter was impossible for such a being. The shaking grew more and more violent. The laughter became hysterical. The grin began to morph into a grimace. A single black, glistening drop of liquid rolled off of one of its fingers and plummeted downwards. One could have almost described it to be a substance similar to oil in looks. But it was darker, missing that thin rainbow sheen. Oddly, as it dropped through the cotton candy clouds, all of those with red tones- whether they were pinkish or blood colored- disappeared, sucked into the liquid without disturbing its surface. The tiny drop eventually found its way to the lands of the vegetables, hitting the ground at great speed yet not making a hint of a splash. Its form slowly grew, getting larger until its size seemed impossible. It began to take on a slightly human shape, more drops dripping off of what could only have been its head. Those drops began to coalesce into beings of their own. But they were all the same, of course. All under its control. All completely and totally focused on destroying all that which had been created. The black licorice had come. 2

She's really nice." "TVG? What does that stand for?" "The Violet Goddess." "Okay..." He looked around at Michael and Xinoehp. "You... you guys can back this up, right? Are you Narrators too?" xinoehp512 he/him Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Granite's question seemed to shake Xinoehp from whatever thoughts had been running through his head. "Hmm? Yeah, I'm a Narrator." "Not me," said Michael, still distracted by whatever it was he was doing. "Like I said, I just use Narrativium."
Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 "What's Narrativium?" Sophie looked at Xino with concern. "Hey, are you okay, Xinoehp?"

Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Granite shrugged helplessly. "I mean, put yourself in my place, this... this is... a lot." Sophie nodded. She managed to say it with quite the sincerity, something that was evident in the contrast between her quiet tones now and her excited chatter from before.

Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Granite smiled. "So, uh... You work for Silence, huh? Who's that?" Sophie furrowed her brow in sadness. She really wished Xinoehp would look up so she could see his handsome hazel eyes again. And she wished he would go back to being his usually-cheery self. She sighed. Did she really expect any less? He'd just been dead a few minutes ago. That had to do something to your view of life.

Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 "What happened to 'im?" Granite asked.

Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Granite nodded. This intrigued him even more than the Narrators did. If there was one thing Granite couldn’t resist, it was power. He had thought being a Mistborn was great, but knowing his heritage had so much more to offer? He felt like he was being ripped off. “So,” he asked. “Does Star work with Silence too?”
