”Well, I wouldn’t have approached you if you weren’t a Narrator. I’m a bit reliant on Narrators for travel, but Night isn’t returning my calls. Perhaps there’s a fight we can crash, overwhelming the opponents and forcing them to work together?”

@Ink and Embers’s eye only!

Kevin picks up the rock, immediately drops it, cools it down, and picks it up again.

"Alright! I haven't had ... tonnes of experience traveling yet. Do I just imagine a fight and end up there? Any specific fight? How large a scale? Will a cat and a dog do, for example, or warring kingdoms, which would be harder to fight?"

Viridis arrived on a small, densely-forested island. His hydrogen peroxide had been enough to cover most of the journey, fortunately. He was starving, however, though he did not show it, obscured by his cloak as he was.

He left the boat on the sands of the island's coast and ventured into the island, scanning carefully for anything that might be edible.

Eli nodded. "Me, levi and trevor are a crew."

"So then, let's get going!" The innkeeper opens the ship and shows them to the controls.

Hello! May I start a scene with you? My character was interacting with Ver, who left the Shard

Sure!

Are you creating a new character or bringing an existing one? Because this island has something strange on it...

Thank you!!!

Can I bring Kevin, or is someone marginally competent better?

Uhh this island has some dangerous fauna and flora (not Patjii-level, but still pretty dangerous), so preferably someone who can deal with such things

The island is uninhabited, so you'll need an explanation for how your character got there (it doesn't have to be realistic)

Also one of my other characters, a Narrator, is watching Viridis very closely...

Okay!

Kiornight arrived at the island in a hissing of wings, tired after several days' flight. Fireflies crawled over his clothing, flickering with light, but he dimmed them with a thought. Better to be concealed, in this place. Whatever lived here was dangerous at best.

Strangely, a small craft rested on the sand on a nearby beach; he'd seen it as he was arriving. Another being. He wondered if they were still alive. Still, wouldn't hurt to check... probably.

If nothing else, he could raid the boat for resources. Steps clicking and whirring with wing beats, he headed towards the boat.

Kiornight is a Tzelicrae-Sleeples-firefly-type-entity

Initially, Viridis dismissed the buzzing for mosquitoes. But as it grew louder, he turned and saw a humanoid figure, covered head-to-toe in what looked like flies. Viridis instinctively accelerated his metabolism - not too much, he was already hungry - but just a little.  As the figure approached his boat - which was empty, save his oars - he used his cloak to blend into the dense foliage behind him as best he could, keeping his eyes on Kiornight.

He'd thought that he'd been the only one left who knew about this island. It turned out he was wrong.

They're a kind of spider-species a bit like Sleepless from an RPG called the Wildsea. It's very cool!

Kiornight examined the boat - largely empty - and concluded it probably didn't have many uses besides firewood. And transport, he supposed. What interested him more was that the marks made by the boat's landing. The waves had barely scrubbed them away at all.

Another person, and recently arrived. If they were competent (Kiornight suspected they had to be to get this far), they might not be dead just yet.

Kiornight shrugged, letting his humanoid shape mostly dissipate into a buzzing swarm, and headed into the island. He'd meet the person sooner or later. Maybe even alive.

Viridis' jaw dropped as the buzzing mass approaching him, though his face remained shadowed by his hood. As quietly as he could, he began to climb the nearest tree. He was confident that no human would be able to hear him, though he had no idea of what this creature's hearing was like. His stomach rumbled, and his eyes widened at the noise; he immediately turned down his metabolism to normal levels. He really needed to find something to eat.

Kiornight glanced around. Huh. He could've sworn he'd heard ... Nevermind. The swarm grew a little further apart: less cohesion this way, but a greater range. The island was full of strange beings.

A pink-green plant snapped at the passing fireflies. A handful blinked out, while the remaining ones flashed briefly and brightly in alarm. Curses. I hope no one saw that.

Viridis slowly ascended higher as the swarm began to spread out. He hoped that whatever this thing was, it wouldn't think to search upwards.

He felt a sharp pain on his left index fingers. "Ah!" he yelped as he spotted the leafcutter ant major biting into his skin. He let go of the branch he was holding, relying on the grip of his other hand, and sped up his metabolism again to aid in healing. He glanced downwards at the swarm fearfully.

It might look like I’m appearing out of nowhere, but this was originally a thread started by me that kind of died. But then got revived. Thanks KSauce

Back on the previous island, 105 walked out of the cafe. It was the morning after almost drowning, and they knew what they had to do. Before leaving, they had ordered a few pouches of hydrogen peroxide. They were going to find Viridis. He was just too intriguing to let go.

Is anyone in charge?

Unsure. Like I said, I haven't done much here...

The man finally found a name for himself...

Consistency.

Yes, he would be Consistency.

Even as he thought it, however, his hair flickered, then changed color.

Edit: there is a lot to read. I wish there could be a synopsis.

2nd Edit: I have an idea.

The morning?

It's still the same day to Viridis... the sun hasn't even set yet

So TLT isn't like other RPs - there's no GM or person in charge, unless you count the super powerful characters.

You can do almost whatever you want here; there are several plotlines happening at once that are unrelated, and you can create your own or join an existing one.

If you wish, you can read some of the wiki: https://thelongestthread.fandom.com/wiki/The_Longest_Thread_Wiki

There isn't much on there, compared to the oceans of lore built over 4473 pages, but it's something

However, plotlines do not need to connect to any existing lore at all
