"Evil is its own reward, don't you think?" They did indeed (mostly the being made of metal part), as the poor husk discovered to its detriment. Jack easily knocked the husk backwards, taking several of its companions down with it and creating a sizeable gap in the ring. Lyric sprang forward after Jack, voice filled with tension as he continued to sing. "Evil powers, be bound. Dark whisperings, begone. Your control over us, over husks, be broken." His words seemed to have some effect, and the Sage muttered a curse as his husks responded sluggishly to Jack's assault. "I... yes, I will do so." Her red eyes became black and tears streamed down her face. “SEQUENCE NO!” Rebus put his hand on Atlas’s shoulder. “They die because it hurts. That is what the Authors want - a plot, emotions and drama. But that doesn’t mean they have to.” 2 hours ago, Sequence said: "I..." She gripped Unintelligible's hand tightly, desperately, as she glanced back down at her wound. The scar tissue was gray and mottled with black. Destroy... Destroy... Destroy... Sequence sucked in a sharp breath through clenched teeth, clenching her eyes shut. "Oh... I..." She opened her eyes again to look over at the Great Wizard, struggling to focus on him. Destroy... Destroy... Destroy... Her face went a little pale, and she turned back to Unintelligible. Her eyes were... sad. "You..." she started, her voice strained and slow. "Are the... bravest... most noble... p.. person... I have ever known..." DESTROY! DESTROY! DESTROY! Sequence winced, clenching her eyes tightly again as she held out her left hand to the side. Conflict appeared in it. She knew what she had to do. "I... hope... one day... I'll find my way back... to you." Tears began to well in her eyes as Conflict took the form of a staff with a brilliantly glowing lantern on top. Sequence hissed softly as the light bathed her face. Struggling a bit, she lifted up the staff above her. As the light filled her eyes, one could see something... dark. Her eyes never left Unintelligible's face. "I... love you," she whispered. With a high-pitched whine, the lantern flared with temporarily blinding white light. As it faded, Conflict thudded against the floor beside Sequence. Her eyes burned in their sockets, black mist frantically trying to escape her body before being vaporized by Conflict's remaining light. There were still tears on her dull, lightless cheeks. Rebus stood silent, emotions crashing down on him. Sadness - Sequence has been a friend, in some ways. Gratitude - for the Thread, this would be good. Chills ran up his spine, and his eyes widened. Nothing happened for a long moment, then a few more sophons unfolded themselves into 6 dimensions in front of Rebus so that they where visible to the naked eye. The hyper-hyper-hyperspheres assembled into letters, and slowly spelled out the words: "Anything is possible."

She became a brief blur, and then her head was around his throat, tilting his head this way and that, examining him with a cold detachment. Then she grinned. "Hello, brother." Her voice sent shivers down his spine. @Keke @Ashkaloda Erryin (and Taeidin has Thread awareness, right?) can sense that Cep is within the Thread, but no more than that. They can't see this happening. - Asharak stood. He had no time to waste. He suspected that the name of the Blade he sought would come to be accurate sooner than he wished. Something to drink. There was a creek nearby, but he dismissed that. It was too easy, and probably wasn't the best option. He wandered around the clearing, looking around and searching. Then he paused. There. That would do. High up in the trees, clusters of hairy coconuts grew. They seemed out of place with the scenery, but he had seen stranger. Asharak went over to one of the trees and looked up. He blinked and shifted himself up to the top of the tree- No. He was still on the ground. He tried again, to the same result. He groaned in frustration, then wrapped his arms around the trunk and started to climb. It was a slow endeavor, but at last he made it to the top. He reached out and knocked the hairy fruit out of the tree. Then he slid back down. He picked one up and cracked it to check, and, indeed, he found the liquid he sought inside. He carried one back to the house, cracked it open, and handed it to the old man, who took it without word and drank all of it. He nodded. "That will do. Thank you." He paused. "Now for your last task. Your counterpart is in trouble. You know this. You must find those who can help him. Before it is too late." With that, he leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, and began snoring. Not quite; it’s a little more active than passive. He can’t see everywhere at once, but he can sense things he searches for. 13 minutes ago, Keke said: erryin frowned. “How…” they tried again Atlas gasped and scrambled back. Her eyes red and face still wet. Dirt stained her knees and hands, her clothing was soaked through by rain. “You da bad guy.” She said trying to stand but found she was to weak to do that. Erryin looked around trying to pinpoint the source. “CEP” they called through the thread This time, their surroundings didn’t even fully disappear before resolving again. The sparks continued to fly from around the door, having almost made a full circuit. “Oh ****” Taeidin said. 1

I cannot claim to be a good guy, but I am not here to hurt you—at least, not with malice. I am here to help you." - Cep hears Erryin's cry, and smiled. He attempted to send something back to her, but Aeryn shook her head. "Tsk tsk," she said, her nails digging into his jaw. "We won't be having any of that." Cep felt the connection vanish. Again, he tried to ask. "Why?" Aeryn just stared at him, violet eyes unblinking and unmoving. Atlas looked around. “I don’t want your help! I saw you hurting erryin!!” She tried to narrate herself out of this place. - erryin knew cep tried to reply but still couldn’t find anything. “Oh come on!” Just now, Ashkaloda said: Not quite; it’s a little more active than passive.
