Wait did u really say that-

That’s one of the things I was saying, Axzi created these people and granted them minimal magic, and so by their mythology, he’s the creator of man.

“…”

”Very well”

Renn put his dagger away. This conversation was tiring enough as is.

”What to you want from me?”

Fael stood between the two, amused by their petty arguments. "Your god, Axzi? Where can I meet him?" she asked, interested.

Sorta. I didn't directly say it, but I basically said it about Authors.

"Well, if you can accept that teleportation magic does not—or at least need not only—come from dark gods, I would appreciate you aiding me in spreading word of my offer of teleportation services and aiding me in providing them. Your abilities would, of course, be not quite as expansive as mine, but I believe you would still find them quite useful."

Axzi, king of the gods, heard one calling on him. He was touched by the devotion of this servant, but he was a little misguided. The gods were not perfect. They were just men, given power. There were dark gods, those from his pantheon who did not serve him, but not all who did not serve him were evil. How his wisdom had been warped.

"For one, power, if that is something you desire; additionally, you become part of a greater whole, set to provide a beneficial service to a large group of people."

Asharak cocked his head, feeling a presence. Who goes there? he sent out.

"Right." she said, matter-of-factly, intent on not bothering this person. "How can something be too holy?"

Someone with power. she replied carefully.

Rebus smiled. He had found one logical weakness - all he had to do now was implement it. As for the fireball, it hit the area of time-frozen air and immediately ceased to exist, having encountered temperatures logically at nearly absolute zero.

This did not work - the purple was purple for only the briefest moment.
This should be a hint - I’m assuming you’re talking about the cloud of blackness or Whan, not the bird. The bird would be purple, but nobody would be able to tell.

Rebus nodded. “I’d considered that. That was my role, in the beginning.”
Rebus chose a planet he was terraforming into nanomachines - his turf, nearly free of potential collateral damage. “That is excellent, though I’m sure you’d understand a change in my offer given the possibility of further ‘consideration’. I will hear you out.”

“I’m searching for a ciphered text, but anything like ancient languages would likely also contain interesting information.” He grinned briefly. “You or your companions being unable to read it would be a good benchmark - if it does turn out to be useful to you I can give the translation back.”

"Hmm. It doesn't usually - but I guess if I changed the wording slightly, it could work."

"Well, this is amusing."

A figure steps forward, seeming to fuzz around the edges slightly. Not looking directly at Renn, they speak.

"I would like to make a counteroffer."

Ah good, if it serves you, I can remove the… lacerations. You spoke of it being a pain to heal. Among other things, one of my domains is order, and therefore its restoration. Damages dealt unjustly are easy to fix. Well, for me anyways. Mortals are not so blessed.

I would appreciate that. I should note that I am not precisely mortal; rather, I am a being of transportation and deals.

Oh, I was not referring to you when I spoke of mortals. I unfortunately am not truly immortal, I merely do not age and hard to kill.

I’ll let u talk abt its effects, feels to close to godmodding idk, it just restores order to ur body

I hope this can be a beginning of a new friendship. Who knows? Perhaps in the future we could help one another. But tell me, who is this new arrival (@Ashkaloda)?

And something I can give. I know the right person, at least. Go to Rebus. Pledge yourself to him. He is the Antagonist.

The slices on Asharak slowly seal up, leaving behind just a few white lines.

I...I do not know who this is, but I am curious to see where this goes. However, I appreciate your possible offer of aid; I may indeed take you up on that offer if I am ever in need. I make the same offer to you, though as a god I doubt if you would ever need the help of a lesser being as myself.

Ah, yes. I would recommend joining Rebus. I believe his motives to be good; though he seeks to become a tyrant, he does so to prevent those less benevolent from claiming the title.

That is utterly and completely wrong. Fael interjected rudely. He is the Antagonist, and is not 'benevolent' in any way, shape or form, however he might appear. Joining him might be the wisest option, but he is not good, nor are is his motives.

You trouble me. You sow seeds of dissent among my loyal. But perhaps rightly so. I will ponder this. But the title Antagonist troubles me as well. What good soul would be titled such a thing?

I… am fighting a war against my own. Some of the gods do not submit to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. While they do not submit, I am but a shade of my true power. I have but 2 of my domains left.

This is a suitable explanation. Thank you. I would like to meet him before I make such an oath.

SHHHH! Do you want to anger him? Staying on his good side is by far the safest option.

What is this I hear? I would normally condemn such a man, but unfortunately, some of the same things have been said about me by those who oppose me. Again, I cannot judge a man by another’s words.
