Thanks

Prie lunged at the figure

Of course. Happy to help.

It was an enormous, pale praying mantis.

Before he could get far, it had speared one of its hooked forearms straight through his tail and into the floor, pinning him down in a rather violent way.

"Why would you do this?" it hissed.

"It scared me!"

They try to whack the forearm.

"Yup."

They begin walking, with Taeidin periodically checking to make sure they are going in the right direction. After a few hours, the woods clear away, and they see a bustling city sprawled out before them.

"They're in there."

"Well ah'll be. Ah ne'er knew this was here. Where we goin' first?"

It was too big, and didn't really do anything.

The rest of the chamber was filled with an assortment of bug species.

The little worm from earlier sat on the mantis' head, a teeny-tiny bandage around her midsection.

"How could she scare you?" it asked, gesturing to the little worm.

"No. She tells me you hurt her in purpose."

"Please." He whispers to softly for the mantis to hear. "Somebody help me."

It was too dark to see anything else. He couldn't even see what he'd landed on.

The distant speck of light disappeared.

So be it.

what do you mean, so be it?

Something grabbed his leg.

Eikooc's, too. @CoderDrag0n8

"Oh my."

It dragged him backwards into a small, definitely claustrophobic tunnel, the sides if which he could feel as they scraped along his sides.

"HI!"

"Hello!" Eikooc said to the world.

Nothing, really.

"Hello!" replied a small caterpillar enthusiastically.

It's mother shushed it quietly.

RUN!

They did

"My king!" one of the insects cried, many rushing to the mantis' side.

Many others cried out angrily and chased after Prie and Eikooc. @CoderDrag0n8

There were two exits. One -presumably the way they'd entered- was blocked off by angry, insectile guards.

The other had been left wide open, with the rest of the guards behind them.

HURRY!

"Since it appears we are running for our lives," Eikooc said, looking back behind him, "I would suggest running towards the open passage."

Eikooc would have to address the strange creatures hesitant feeling towards him another time.

Beyond was a twisting labyrinth of seemingly endless tunnels.

Maybe we can lose them?

For the sake of time: yay, they eventually lost the bugs!

Okay, that should be good for now.
