Either. I don’t need all of them, after all. Might be a good idea for you to catch us just as the portal is opening, have a dramatic fight as I stall for time and dramatically reveal I’m a “good Narrator”.

Holt wasn't entirely sure if he could trust her. She seemed genuine enough, but she was also . . . pretty scary.

Then again . . . they were kind of the only two people around . . . besides Jay but he didn't count.

He turned his head to survey the other trees. They were all either dead or dying, except for his own, which he couldn't see from here.

Maybe . . . maybe they could save the few that were left. His friends, family.
