She snapped a particularly thin crystal off the wall and inspected it.

What makes them glow, do you think?

"I dunno. Bioluminescence?"

But they're not alive . . . I guess it could be some sort of bacteria or fungus or something.

She grabbed a red one, too, and stuck both shards in her pocket, then continued walking around.

Bat felt very, very nervous.

She peeked into a crevice.

Oo, yuck. Come look at this!

Eleanor silently watched them explore.

He looked. Hesitantly.

It was the severed skeletal leg of the creature they'd seen earlier. There were a bunch of crystals embedded in it.

Cool.

He paled. "No! No, not cool!"

Oh. Sorry. Uh- well, I think it's cool then.

"You should get rid of the crystal things..."

I don't know! This whole thing is just creepy...

. . . True. But I really don't think there's anything dangerous down here.

She pulled the crystals back out.

And they're just really pretty, anyway. I like 'em, she said, smiling.

He laid back on some branches in the upper reaches of the tree, trying not to think about whatever disease his friend had.

Corysande ran her fingers along the ground, leaving shallow ruts wherever she touched. After a while, she scooped up the loose dirt and made a pile atop one of the roots, her hand held over it. The pile shivered.

Holt had been watching (though it was kinda hard to see through all the leaves), and wondered what she was doing.

It shivered again, and then a little flower popped out of it. Corysande smiled a little, gently stroking the petals.

"You don't have to."

Bat really didn't like this. He stuck as close to Tam as he possibly could.

Rose shrugged. "I think you're just delusional. But don't worry, I like you anyway."

"HEY. I AM FOCUSING. SCRABBLE MONOPOLY IS VERY IMPORTANT."

She paused, standing. "What was the problem at hand again?"

The scientist relaxed. "Thank you. The power plant's up there."

-

She beamed. "Thanks!" Then she winced at his next comment. "Yeah, ouch."

"That's... probably my fault. I should add my characters' inventories to my About Me or something..."

It flew, very reluctantly.

The GPS beeped, telling him to go north. Eepy hung onto his neck.

"Uh... thanks, I guess?" He sighed. This was hard to explain.

-

"Scrabble isn't fun, Monopoly is though."

He blinked.

"How did you do that?"

She looked up at him, then blushed. "Um... w-well...... I take lives. But in return... I'm able to create new life.--I can't fix the tree, if you're wondering. My sister Feyre would need to do that. She's the Fate of the past. I'm the present. Ravena is the future."

maybe if he comes out of the tree but he doesn't really want him to see her :P

At least whatever she sees won't be super defined anyway 'cus of the branches and shadows and stuff

"Oh. That's- that's-" he cleared his throat.

"Do you have a way to contact her, perchance? Or a way I could contact her?"
