Tam picked him up and hugged him right back.

"See you later, Snow!" she said cheerfully.

WHAT THE HECK I COULD SWEAR I SENT IT WHY DID IT VANISH

"You're coming back?" He said hopefully, and then whispered, "You should give him a flower too and marry him and be my sister and stay forever!"

Bat was fending off Fox at the moment.

Irie snorted awake.

"Ugh- are we there?"

"Yup."

She grinned and tickled him. "So you did find the flower, eh? Sneaky!"

"We're coming back though, yeah."

She put him down.

"See you in a bit!"

She groaned and laid her head back on the headrest.

"Ugh . . . okay, good. We got 'em, then?"

He giggled. "See you! By, Ava!!"

"Ria's daughter wasn't where we thought she was, remember? I'm guessing they blackmailed her into leaving Five and Starlight with them."

-

"She wasn't?"

Truthfully, it was all a bit of a blur.

". . . Huh."

Bat came soon after, shaking Fox off of him. He slammed the door.

"Shall we?" In a flash of boldness, he offered her his hand.

Daaaang alright, Bat.

She grinned and took it, glad her hair was covering her ears.

He beamed and looked at the ground, turning red. He led her to the end of the houses and the wall of the cavern, the opposite side from where they'd entered from the teleportation cavern, and down a cave.

How extensive are these caverns, anyway?

She nodded and came back.

He ran to the edge of the circle the bison had entered by, "Here, start removing the fire here Eepy! Stop when I say so!"

Very. Please don't think about it.

After maybe ten minutes, they had to step way more carefully as more and more glowing blue crystals poked out of the floor and walls. There were also some veins of some shimmery, rainbowy material, as well as very occasional specks of Nullite.

She reached her claws out and sucked the fire in.

She slipped her gas mask back on and followed.

What're those? she asked, pointing to the blue crystals.

After about 20 feet, Cadewyn stopped. "Ok Eepy, now stop. We need the rest."

He turned towards the herd. "Now hang on."

He leaped and landed on one of the bison. Before it could throw him, he jumped to the next, and the next. He started runner across them, for the opposite end of the circle.

They're nodes of the mineral we use to make the lamps. It's just untreated. Lightite is my favorite name for it.

A teensy creature with a foxy face, huge ears, and a long snout poked out from behind one of the larger nodes. Its head was only the size of her hand.

The bison were confused and riled and bucked against him as much as possible.

Eepy hung on. "EEEeeeEEEEeeeEEEeeeEEE!"

It sounded like she was having fun.

Awwww, it's so cute! she said, tilting her head to get a better look at it.

"How," he grunted as he almost fell, "is this fun, but flying is scary?"

Its nose twitched, and it mirrored the tilt.

Oh, a fizzi! Yeah, they're pretty sweet. Glare at them and they run away, but smile and they warm up to you pretty quick.

Fizzi? That's an adorable name.

She knelt and stuck her tongue out at it.

Bat grinned.

It jumped on top of the node and stuck its tongue out at her as well. Its tail was almost as big as its body.

He grunted. Whatever.

He made it to the other end of the herd and jumped into the fire, turning and setting the grass near the bison on fire, stepping towards with the flames, towards the bison.

The fizzi crossed its eyes and had to lash its tail for balance.

Distressed, they thundered toward the gap he'd had Eepy create.

What other kinds of creatures are there down here?

He shrugged. "Bats. There's a species of wolf down here, called Bootdogs." He took her hand again and continued forward, careful to keep smiling so the fizzi wouldn't leave.

Just now, KnightSkye said:

"Yes!" He kept herding them through the gap.

They continued, running back the way they came.
