She shrugged.

"I-I know that's might not seem very concrete, but . . . I know she does care about you. Even- even if it doesn't feel like it sometimes."

She was shivering just the tiniest bit, but she hoped he wouldn't notice. They needed to focus on him for a little while, not her again.

Rebus nods. “I understand - the looming feeling is out there. I don’t think it is a specific thing, but rather the fact that there will be an apocalyptic threat eventually. But I’m unsure it would be a good thing, Threadwise, should said threat go away.”
