The wall wasn't super high, and Tam got to the roof relatively quickly. She stepped off the wall with one foot and swung around onto the roof, then waited for Bat.

He paused at the end of the front of the building, then stepped forward. The worst that could happen was he float away, after all.

He swung around onto the other side.

"Nice."

She looked up and around.

"Cool."

He made a happy noise, pleased with the smooth transition, and lay down on the roof.

Tam looked around for a second more.

"Wait, come over here."

She ran and stood on a nearby corner of the roof, grinning like an idiot.

"You can see so much more of it from here."

Indeed, with the warehouse out of the way, the only way their view would be obstructed was if they looked behind them.

"It really is amazing," she breathed.

He nodded and sat down right on the edge. It was dizzying, and he felt like he was falling off without actually falling at all.

Tam didn't want to sit down. She leaned out over the edge, exhilarated.

"Don't fall," he warned, reaching up to take her hand just in case.

She raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? Why not?" she asked with a smile.

"Because I don't know if you'd be able to get back," he replied. "It's probably easier to... oh, but you're a Narrator. So I guess you'd probably be okay."

Her smile softened.

"Yeah. Probably."

She stepped off the edge with one foot, then gently nudged herself outward with the other. She stared floating, but wasn't really going anywhere. Her hair drifted around her head, and her jacket started to float off her shoulders a little.

She grinned at Bat. "Wanna come?"

Ooooh participle :P

He kept hold of her hand, uncertain as to whether he should let go or follow her.

He did the latter, easing off the roof before he could really think about it.

She pulled him a little closer to her- which didn't really work because there was nothing for her to push off of, so they kinda just met in the middle and didn't go anywhere.

"Hmm. Well, this isn't exactly what I wanted to do."

We'll just continue like nothing happen

Heh ok :P

Sorry about that.......

He laughed. "We could push off the warehouse, if you want. I think I can reach it with my foot."

It's all good. Not your fault. :P

"True. Or I could just make something to propel us. It doesn't have to make sense."

"Oooh, like a little tiny fan! Let's do that."

She let go of his hand, drifting away about a foot, and conjured up some little handheld devices with straps on the backs.

She handed him two, and strapped her own on.

"We'll see how this goes," she grinned.

........................................................whut

He nodded eagerly and put his own on. Being untethered made him slightly nervous, but... not really. He knew Tam wouldn't let him float away.

What? :D

"Alright, now press the little triggers on the side-"

She started spinning end over end away from him, but quickly Narrated herself back.

Pushing the hair out of her face and looking away, she realized she was blushing horrendously.

"Anyway . . . I'll just fix that . . . just hold down the triggers with your thumbs . . ." She cleared her throat.

ok I get it I think

He pressed his lips together to hold in his laughter, but a snort escaped anyway. Gently, he pressed down on the triggers, not wanting to become a human drill.

She blushed harder.

He gently started drifting in the opposite direction that he was pointing them.

"I . . . made them more intuitive so that . . . that . . . wouldn't happen again. You should be fine unless you do it on purpose."

He kept his face composed with considerable effort. "Thanks. No offense. I'm sure it was fun."

She shrugged and waited until she was pretty sure she'd stopped blushing, then shoved the hair out of her face again.

"Anyway, um . . . yeah. There's not really anything out here to hit, so just don't get too close to the warehouse, I guess . . ."

She started off slowly in a random direction, away from the building.

He followed her, only boosting for a moment before he turned it off and let his momentum carry him.
