Tam definitely noticed. Especially compared to her own slow, trudging gait.

"So . . . how are you? What've you been up to, lately?"

Be back in a bit

“I’m fantastic! I wrote a poem about ham! Well, I will, if you ask me to. It will be my crowning work.”

"D... delusion?" The Author said into the emptiness, confused.

"If he will not tell you, then it is not my place to. Perhaps he sees things differently than I do." said the voice.

"I want some root... root would be good... or relief... satisfaction..."

The Dreamsmith appears next to the Once-Author with a mug of root. "Here. I never got to say this earlier, but... you used the Blade I forged for you quite magnificently."

“Hmm. I’ll be watching you. Where would you like the mineral deposited?”

"No need to worry," Malevolence said with a grin. "I won't betray you now. You can deposit the metal at my base." He turned and walked out of the mountain, then vanished with a crackle of lightning.

"Thanks, Dreamsmith. Once I figured it out... well it became quite apparent. I can't thank you enough."

She sighed. “I wasn’t worried about betrayal.” She turned to her minions, overseeing the transport.

“He couldn’t betray me, anyway,” she said aloud to nobody in particular.

"I apologize for my Author. You know better than most how they can be." The Dreamsmith chuckles softly. "I think you overstate my skill. I truly did hope to craft a perfect Authorblade. But... I suppose my failure turned out well enough, in the end. Not well enough to save you. For that, I am truly sorry."

She shrugged. "Almost dying- a lot," she chuckled half-heartedly.

“That sounds unfortunate! I could help you!”

She turned to the girl, then smiled. “Ah, hello. A Narrator, I presume?”

"It's fine. I guess... it's better that it was. After what I lived down there, I don't know if I could ever return to being an author."

She pouted. “Aw. Well, if you ever need me, just call me! Like you do for Bacon! I was modeled after him, you know. First ever Bacon rip-off, unless you count BTC.”

“Wonderful.” She pulled up a chair and imitated the girl’s posture. “What is it you wish?”

She grinned. "Will do. Thanks, Lady Bug."

“You’re very very welcome! Now, I have a bug convention to go to! You should stop by sometime!” She handed Tam a flyer for Entoturis— a castle that promised all the resources anyone could imagine, as well as a no-fighting pact similar to Sequence’s. Then she vanished in a poof of confetti.

"so of whom am I made acquaintance?" She crossed her legs and put her hands on her knee formal style. Clashing with the outfit.

She waved goodbye to Lady Bug, pocketing the flyer.

A no-fighting pact, huh?

That would definitely be nice . . . to get away from everyone trying to kill them . . . take a break for a while . . .

Maybe . . . maybe she could get some help. That would be nice, to not have to worry about . . .

About that.

She shivered again and sat against the trunk of a nearby tree for while.

Shall we shift to Shoe and Bea for a bit?

Or perhaps give Yes and Gaioh some kind of plot line
