Cricket sighed, picking himself up and threw more wood on the fire. He was exhausted. It hurt to move. Everything hurt. The painkillers hadn’t helped. He circled the fire, hoisting his brother’s corpse over his shoulder, and, with a grimace, grabbed the head too. He teleported himself to a cliff side, where he disposed of the body. Back at the campsite, he spoke in Bat’s mind. Hey. I need some help. @Halcyon The Only

She walked deeper into the woods for a while, checking behind her every so often to make sure Cricket hadn't followed her. Once she was sure he wasn't, she finally let the tears she'd been holding back flow. It was getting dark, and after a few minutes, small flakes of snow started to slowly drift down around her. The further into the woods she walked, the deeper the snow drifts became, and the colder she felt. She was shivering, and her hands were beginning to go numb by the time she finally stopped next to the thickest tree she could find. She plopped down onto the snow behind it and started sculpting the snow around her into little shapes and figures. The snow was powdery, but not too dry, so it stuck together well. She made a bunch of little people-shaped figurines, some small buildings, and a few other assorted things. When she was done, she wiped her face, stood again, and walked away- -but not before she came back and kicked one of them over. She stalked away, feeling angry and sad. At least her boots kept her feet warm. Just now, Ookla the Irreplaceable said: Oh? Cricket sighed, picking himself up and threw more wood on the fire. He was exhausted. It hurt to move. Should I go after her, or just let her be? Edited January 3, 2025 by Ookla the Irreplaceable
