Bacon choked. "What?"

"That's kind of you." The traveler smiles, then stops, hesitating. "Is there... I mean, what would happen if he can't learn to accept it?"

"Greetings." said the figure. "I bear a message- and perhaps an offer." He cocked his head, examining Ivisyre's appearance. "...is now a poor time?"

Ivisyre spat a considerable amount of blood onto the ground, groaning and sitting up a bit more to squint at the figure.

"Speak." They said hoarsely.

yeah, Subversion brought him to Gaioh. And he could probably help the Ennuller half too.

I would think that you did your math wrong then, because there must be acceleration. Newton's 1st law shows that either they must have started at those incredible speeds (which I don't think is possible) or they must have accelerated.

PLATYPUS I AM USING TIME MANIPULATION THATS HOW I BROKE IT

The reason that they are at those speeds is because time is instantaneously passing hundreds of millions of times slower for the object under gravity, so the planet, from its perspective, is going many times c.

Tam appeared in the jungle about a mile from the beach, then made a cozy little hammock for herself to rest on.

She sighed when she got his message.

Thanks . . . but Cricket, don't kill anyone. Please.

And sorry about earlier- it's been kind of an emotional day for me.

She Narrated a more permanent link into place, so it would be easier to talk back and forth.

What about?

He'll be fine.

I won't if I can help it. And you're fine, I was having it hard earlier too, we just... show our emotions in different ways.

And so it comes back to this invader, Charles mused. Which you know nothing of.

Since that question makes no sense within the rules of the normal universe, its exact answer depends on the rules of the fictional universe. Since TLT has no rules... well, guess you're out of luck. 🤷‍♂️

(Just do whatever you want XD)

You are ready? the Ennuller asked simply.

She awoke in a empty white room.

"Why are you here?" a voice said.

Bacon groaned. "I was really hoping I wouldn't have to go back to Onyx's castle..."

Reluctantly, he lay down and fell asleep besides the neo-Subversion.

In a black mist, a hooded figure waited. Perhaps the one he waited for would appear. Perhaps they would not. @Ookla the Inarticulate

"First I have to ask you a few questions." he said. "And since you made me make a very hard decision today, you're gonna answer them." he growled, stepping forward.

"Yes, I am aware. Subversion is, of course, welcome to act in whatever way she chooses. And if she chooses to act against Nogard, there will be... consequences."

Bacon seemed to grow increasingly nervous at this comment.

"Greetings." said the figure. "I bear a message- and perhaps an offer." He cocked his head, examining Ivisyre's appearance. "...is now a poor time?"

“Oooh, consequences!”

Madness shook her head. "I'm no Narrator. I was once... more powerful. But that was not here. Not now."

The hologram projector shows a picture of Rebus’s jaw dropping. “That is so absurdly exploitable *shocked stammering*” the projector writes beneath it.
Kion is confused, slightly. It’s likely a common reaction. “There are others, with other powers? I suppose I am here, so why not someone from somewhere else.”

Well, the reason gravity breaks is because these things go over the speed of light.

Usually this is not possible, because as something speeds up, it get more and more massive, and therefore the acceleration becomes less and less, until the speed caps at the speed of light. If it surpasses that, the equation gives an imaginary number. Gravity and acceleration are dependent on mass. So those become imaginary as well.

But these don’t speed up to the point. They are already there.

So, first of all things going faster than light should go back in time, secondly because gravity is a property of spacial geometry slowing time should retain gravity, and thirdly slowing time is relatively nonsensical except in relativity time dilation things, which mess with gravity in different way on their own. Anyway, local FLT is possible, as long as it doesn’t communicate information faster than light. For instance, two things moving at almost light speed away from each other seem to result in a relatively velocity of faster than light, but information doesn’t go any faster. Or a laser pointer dot shined at something far away can move faster than light, but the information is moving at light speed from the person turning the pointer.

Sorry, but Narration doesn't work on him :P

Nullite tattoos.

Bat set his jaw and pulled his leg away, which....... significantly did not help the blood flow. So he drank a little bit of medicine for the pain and set to work with antiseptic and giving himself stitches. He'd kept some from when he'd stitched up Tam.

Night mother ❤️

I forgot that it was him who had the tattoos. too many characters to keep track of with too little available brainpower. although...

Just curious, what would be a good storyline to interject on for my other character?

Anything that seems natural, I suppose! I sometimes have a hard time injecting myself into storylines too, but if you notice one where there could be a character introduced well, like if people are seeking out an unknown figure, or in danger, or otherwise lost. You could also create your own, like I did with my 3,000th page celebration by inviting everybody to attend!

But generally, it's not too serious and you'll most likely be welcome anywhere you appear. :D Sometimes there are more closed off places where people can't just appear, but if you arrive properly you'll likely be welcomed in most plotlines like that was well.

Would someone be able to give me a list of the planets in this thread. (Only if there are some official ones of course).

I only know of the general landscape of the Thread (which encompasses anything not somewhere else), Onyx’s realm (which is really dangerous but currently contains some people), Ragnorok (also really dangerous, also contains people), Sequencr’s world (closed right now, but there was a party there earlier), and a planet I made, Antimatterland (do not go there, you will explode unless you have force fields). But honestly, just write your character being somewhere, and a half dozen Narrators will notice and appear.

The Song of War begins to sound. The Emperor, Kahmir Bearer of the Golden Right, Holder of the Planar Throne, is present. All are aware. The Emperor Sends his army to march through the planes, Seeking those who are worthy, to fight in the War against the The Maelstrom. (The Maelstrom is a plane of complete chaos and destruction. Think Limbo from D&D.)

The marching is heard throughout all of the Planes.

If an observer A was traveling at near-lightspeed relative to an object, and another observer B was traveling at the same speed, but in the opposite direction, they would both perceive each other as moving slower than light. In our universe, an object can't be moving faster than lightspeed relative to an observer. It isn't possible.

As for the laser pointer, the only things that are moving are your hand (which I shouldn't need to convince you is moving slower than lightspeed) and the photons that comprise the laser beam (which I shouldn't need to convince you are moving at lightspeed.) The 'laser dot' isn't a physical thing- the photons that are hitting the faraway surface in one moment are not the same photons hitting that surface in the next moment.

nope! there are far too many. You could be pretty much anywhere though. Right now several of us are on the "planet" I like to call the Plain.

Sain appears in front of Kahmir. “Hi! Who are you?”

He has armor made of glowing golden Strands, and two dual blades at his sides. The Strands are extending from his chest, and a number on his back raise behind him protectively.
