"Wow. That's awful."

James fell silent. A few moments later, a pulse ran through the crowd.

"Oh," he said. "Lunch is over." He stood up. "Back to work, I suppose."

"Not real?" said Bacon, arching an eyebrow. "Why on earth would you think that? Do you suppose that just because we are fictional, we are not real?"

"But..." Selppaenip managed, aghast, "If you do this, the Brave Adventurers will claim the Plotblades for themselves, will they not?"

oh crap i forgor to speak in silence

Tenth nodded and found Charles again.  I am ready to continue training.

Staying silent. can you use the interweb thingie to figure out what to say in this situation. Asher wasnt really sure what the internet was but knew a bit about it. Maybe someone on it had answers.

Cricket leaped to the side, hand on his belt where his knife was. He would face this head on. Tam, he thought. Tam, are you there?

There was movement in the fog ahead of Cricket, and a moment later another knife broke through the murk and headed straight for Cricket's heart.

Perseus nodded. "In Skavi myths, Atreides was powerful, but a fool. Thought he could rule the universe, but fell."

"Many people have thought that way. Narrators among them." As they approached the temple, it became apparent that the outside wall was lined with dozens of alcoves in which were installed statues of Atreides. Moni stopped in front of the massive stone doors of the temple, which hung ajar to reveal a dark room beyond. "Atreides certainly wasn't very humble, was he?" She said, looking up at one of the statues. "Alright, let's split up and search the place. If you find anyone, get them to leave the temple. After that's done, I'll destroy it."

"Perhaps," Subversion replied with a bitter laugh. "I think it because it's true. Do you know that my Author has had at least a dozen renditions of this very conversation play out in his head in the past day or so? Everything I say, every action I take, every thought in my head is at his whim. I am words on a page. Why" She sneered, "should anyone care about words?"

"They might." The Great Wizard sounded very weary. "And perhaps they will succeed in containing them. For all that I don't trust the Brave Adventurer, the rest of the council is trustworthy. I should have... should have gone to them from the start."

"I understand perfectly. May I speak with the lawyer?"

Cricket spun, catching it as it went by, turning with its momentum and sending it back into the fog. "Show yourself." he demanded.

Perseus smiled, turning to search the right hand side. "Hello?" he called.

Hunters. Cricket shuddered, remembering Xanine. This was a test, that was all it was. "I don't need help." he said, leaping at one of them with his knife.

"Then let's bring the place down!" Perseus called.

I’m also bad at comforting people…

Pyk tensed at the touch. “We have to stop them. They can and will hurt everyone.”

Pyk wasn’t paying attention, but a group of non aggressive Strand users snuck around and into a spacecraft, launching away.

that was just plot development so I stayed true to the original plan… not really important.

“I may have an idea.” He grabbed a crystal, a hammer, and crushed it into a fine powder. “Perhaps we can mimic the fogs that would cancel their powers.” He slumped. “No… We need a Mystic.”

now comes the question. Should I make him Mystic? Cuz it’s not really something ya are born with.

“Well I, unlike Bacon, am not self conscious to even consider a Render.” Faunus said, bare toes digging into the sand. “Not that I can get this Narration to work right for me anyway, because I did not want to come here. I hate sand.”she said, wrapping her arms around herself in a hug, glaring disdainfully at the offending sand.

Kion tries to think of something to do about it, or at least something helpfully to say. He hadn’t had many close friends in the past; putting too many mages in the same room was frowned upon, so he didn’t have that much social interaction. “The sand is making me nervous as well. Renders can do some alarming things with it. Shall we walk, or should we teleport again?”

"It'll take more than a few collapsing buildings to kill me, Moni." Perseus said, but he exited the building.
