Black stuff of death . . . okay . . . he said groggily, taking another sip of . . . whatever this stuff was. It seems to be helping.

Then he suddenly remembered why he felt so awful.

Wait a second- you got me drunk! he said accusingly.

"Uh....... well. Yeah."

Everybody still at the party found themselves transported back, as all the invitations were invalidated and the planet was closed.

Kion falls over, no longer supported by his dancing partner. “Hey! I’m supposed to be celebrating! Bring me back!” he yells angrily at nothing, still in the grip of his spell.
The Render perks up. There is the mage. It is far away, but I can hunt.

Ugh, no . . . please tell me I didn't embarrass myself too much . . .

He ran his fingers through his hair and pulled out some leaves, confused.

"You... uh... fell in a bush." She twisted her fingers together. "I'm... really sorry. I got caught up and---" He doesn't want your excuses, idiot. "A- anyway, I won't threaten you like that again. It wasn't fair of me."

He huffed. No, it wasn't. But thanks, I guess.

So . . . what all did I do last night? he asked apprehensively.

"Not much," she replied, looking off at the ocean. She wasn't blushing, she wasn't blushing, she wasn't blushing. "You giggled a lot. And fell into a bush."

A white and blue knife resembling a kunai with a gemstone inset in the flat of the blade and a ring at the bottom appeared.

”The party is over.” A glowing aura around the knife pulsed at the sound, and it seemed that… the knife was the one speaking.

Why did I fall into a bush? What was I doing outside?

Nogard blinked. "Who?"

"A very powerful mage," Gail interjected. "The details aren't important." She gave Sasha a warning glance.

Sasha smiled at Nogard. “Yeah, it’s not important. Anyway. What are we doing here?”

“I took you outside to get some air.”

Kion huffs. “Fine! I’ll make a new party, then.” The small part of him not gripped by the magical compulsion to celebrate panics quietly as he declares. “Invitation! Creation! Construction! Preparation! Celebration!” which is more magic than he risks most days, let alone in the span of a few seconds. Due to his words, though before he says them, invitations go out to those who would wish to party, raw wood and stone appears from thin air, it assembles itself into a dance floor, decorations and food appear, and the whole area is shrouded in a magical compulsion to celebrate.
The Render is truly shocked as the power hits it, making it stronger, faster, nimbler, and smarter. It tears rocks from the ground, forming wings of floating debris and scraping its components together to sharpen them. It tries to fly, but only accomplishes a sort of gliding run as it charges towards Kion’s location.

The knife floated in place, ‘watching’ the exchange.

”Odd. Be sure you don’t perish.”

Perseus ran forward eagerly. "How far is the march, then?" he asked.

Cricket nodded to Bacon. "All right, Bacon. Take us there."

Bacon opened a portal to the cave. @NameIess

“Not much,” she lied, looking up at the sky. “We looked at the stars.”

That was pretty self-explanatory, now Gail said it.
“Wait, a trial? Like… someone got in trouble?”

“Yeah. It was nice.” She cleared her throat.

Why was she avoiding this, anyway?

There was no way he’d meant—

She coughed. How come Livetha was practically on call to cut the connection for Shoe, but fell asleep when Beosta needed her?

“My dad showed up,” she blurted, hoping to distract him. She immediately regretted it as her brain replayed the whole conversation and her conflicted feelings returned.

“I think he’s tryna destroy plotblades.”
