Sasha nodded her agreement. “Yeah. They’re not… scary  for me, per se, but… they remind me of things that make me sad. So. I getcha.”

“What kinds of things?”

Time to go to war lol

Tam growled, her Narration reappearing.

She reached out to Cricket telepathically.

You won't let me help, but you'll summon Bacon?! Really?!

huh

oh

Probably not, no.

Cricket sighed. Now Tam was in his head telepathically? Storms, it would be much harder trying not to think of her. Okay, first of all, I just need Bacon to tell me some information then I'm leaving him, second of all, I'm not so sure how well I can function with you..he stopped the thought right there. He would need friends. Besides telepathy wouldn't get Tam killed.

Selppaenip appeared in front of a massive iron door, guarded by a dozen well-armed adventurers.

"Oh, he's dead. He was an evil wizard, as I said. Or, well, he was a sort-of evil wizard." Subversion shrugged. "Besides, you don't need it. You're actually a good person."

Unintelligible snorted. "I'm not completely without ego. Although to be honest, falling over is probably healthier for my pride than continuing to dance."

Moni folded her arms. "I'll go with you, but I'm doing so to make sure you don't go too far. If there's a way to save the Skavi and make certain that the demons can't hurt anyone else that doesn't involve killing them, then we'll do that instead. Killing for vengeance is not something I'm going to be a part of."

"You have know idea what they've done to me." whispered Perseus softly. "I am the Avenger of the Skavi. I will kill those who must be killed, and we can find a way to... indispose of the rest. Deal?" he asked, putting out his hand.

Gail nodded, even though she didn’t have a clue what Sasha was talking about. “Are those people? Your sisters?”

Oh nevermind yay!

:D

You're right; it won't! Tam said happily.

Now, if you don't mind . . .

She appeared next to him, grinning.

Nope. Cricket thought, for some reason through the bond, and he portaled away. Telepathy only.

"Wha-" Hey!

Where did you go?

Somewhere. Cricket thought. The point is you're not supposed to know. It's safer for you that way.

"Deal." Moni shook Perseus's hand. "Now, didn't you say that your gods would banish you once you had a Plotblade? Is there a reason that hasn't happened yet, or are they just waiting for a properly dramatic moment?"

"I need to get their attention." Perseus smiled. "That'll mean blowing up a few monuments and stuff, but don't worry, they'll be abandoned and everything."

@NameIess what are Ending's powers?

You can't stay hidden forever- I'll find you eventually!

Cricket laughed through the bond, shocked by the sound. When was the last time he had laughed? He sighed, settling down on a rock near a stream in some remote corner of the Thread and spoke Bacon's name again. "Bacon the Bard. Bacon the Bard. Bacon the Bard. I need answers!"

Aha!

Tam appeared next to him. She grabbed his arm so he couldn't portal away without her.

"Perfect!"

Cricket rolled his eyes. Don't make me Enull you again. he thought. Thinking through the bond was easier than talking, for some reason. "Now will Bacon get over here?" he said aloud. "I need to get to the Dreamsmith."

"-Wait, did you say the Dreamsmith?" she started.

"I'm gonna need a way to fight back. I barely killed that one Withergeist guard, and nearly died doing it. Whoever the master is, he's a lot stronger than that guy. The Dreamsmith can help me. Wait, he does give weapons, right?" he asked.

"Um . . . I don't know?" She thought for a moment.

". . . Hang on. Stay there!" She walked a short distance away.

She pulled out her phone and called Beosta.

A ringing phone suddenly appeared in front of Beosta.

Sequence laughed some more, slowly getting to her feet and extending a hand to Unintelligible. "Personally, I think bad dancing seems more fun than spinning in perfectly uneventful circles all night long."

10 hours ago, Through the Living Feather said:

“Him,” Beosta snarled. “It was him. Can you at least move Shoe away from this mess?” Her hand vanished beneath her cloak and she stared intently at the man, clearly wishing him harm.

Sequence's copy/hologram looked confused, glancing between him and Beosta. ".. Cardinal? He's been tending to the garden all night." She looked at Cardinal, who looked like he was about ready to pass out. "... Right?"

"Everyone made me do it!" He suddenly blurted out, pointing at Everyone. "They gave me the vial, they told me to spread it out and focus on people who weren't paying attention!" He immediately dropped his head into his hands and sobbed. Sequence looked at Everyone, her authority and confidence melting away. Everyone smiled, an unsettling, dark smile.

"Perhaps it's time for your precious party to end." Everyone hissed, their signature darkness creeping into their voice. "Wouldn't want people to start dying." With that, they vanished in a puff of black smoke.

Sequence looked a little dizzy, but snapped her fingers. Shoe's couch gently lifted into the air, and relocated a safe distance away. "Beosta, do me a favor please." She said shakily. "Go ahead and start asking people to leave, would you?"

Pyk nodded. “I understand. This is a fine point.”

it don’t really matter 🤪 (I may or may not be planning the fall of his society [not to Tenth, tho])

"Thank you. That is all I ask."

Cricket watched with in interest. What would Beosta know about the Dreamsmith?

Nope

Ista’s plot line has sorta ended. She don’t really care much about Tull…

Hmmm…

Jilu looked at the man who had approached her. “Who are you?”

”Someone who can tell you why you are Red, and help you control it.”

Jilu was skeptical. “Prove it.”

The world shifted around them, and every torch, every electric light, any source of understanding, was quenched.

I need to revisit this story. I’ve forgotten most of the magic system.

Jilu widened her eyes. “What did you do?”

”Come with me.”

@Sequence

Pyk nodded, and ripped his stamp. He appeared back in his homeworld, and replaced his armor, practicing with it’s new capabilities.
