Good. Now, compress it and condense it into a single core.

It was a bit harder to compress the Nullite than it was to simply draw it to a point, but Shoe managed.

Okay, got it, he said as he condensed the last of it.

Bacon finally managed to break free of the ice. "Well! Tam, that was-"

He cut off when he saw Faunus and Subversion glaring at each other.

"...uh... I'm not interrupting anything, am I...?"

"Um . . . not anymore . . ."

Beosta was impressed.

The consultant inspected Shoe carefully, then nodded.

Congratulations, he said. You are now an Ennuller.

Bacon cleared his throat. "Well, uh... nice to meet you, Faunus! Do you have any plans or goals, or are you just going to go with the flow?"

“You’re gonna be okay,” Beosta said, then took his hand.

Shoe’s. Not the consultant’s.

His head whipped towards the consultant. Wait, what? Just like that?

He squeezed her hand.

She wasn’t sure how he was feeling. She tried to push happy, calming things into his head, but wasn’t certain it was working.

His anxiety was soothed slightly, though . . . it still was pretty high. He looked over at her.

I didn't know you could do that.

It’s working? She smiled, then took all the happy feelings and shoved them his way, then tugged his anxiety into herself.

More or less. The consultant seemed amused. You have demonstrated the ability to manipulate the forces of Silence, and you possess a portion of that force inside of yourself. You may not have all the capabilities of one such as myself, or your Ennuller friend, but that is simply a matter of practice.

Tam looked at her flatly. "Speaking of hearing thoughts . . ."

Subversion sniffed. "What, you have a problem with me thinking?"

“Uhm,” Lady Bug said, “I think you need a spa day, love.”

A spa day? "Please. I'm not the one who's been stuck in the desert for so long I look like something that cat dragged in."

"What is this 'Linux'?" asked Selppaenip curiously.

"Our backup operating system. Hopefully it won't have quite so many security issues."

"Um. Which way did you say the teleporter was, again...?"

One of the brave adventurers pointed Nogard towards a door leading off the hangar. "Go through that hall, take the third left and then go down two flights at the stairs."

“Dang, girl. You need to take a chill pill.” Lady Bug shook a bottle in front of Subversion’s face.

Wait, what are you doing? No- no, you don't need to do that . . .

Don’t worry about it. I’m okay. She smiledHowever, Shoe’s anxiety assailed her, even though she tried to remind herself it wasn’t even hers. She didn’t want him to be anxious, because he would be okay now.

Sorry for the incoherency I’m tired

Nogard went into the hallway and began counting doors. Unfortunately, he mixed up his directions and took the third right instead.

Beosta . . . no. He did feel much better though.

He stood and offered a hand to help her up.
