Yep. Shoe looked away, taking his hand off her arm. The silence stretched awkwardly.

After a minute, he wrote, So . . . should we . . . go find Livetha?

What? Tam replied.

Could you heal Beosta's foot?

Uh, sure! Beosta's foot healed suddenly. What happened?

Dragon fire, I think.

I see. Unfortunate. Where're you guys going?

To find Livetha.

Nice, nice. How 'bout instead I just Narrate Livetha here?

Um . . . Shoe hesitated. No, that's okay. I think we want to go find her on our own.

Uh, alright. Have fun!

Thanks.

The connection wasn’t there. instead, Beosta reached for a general feel of Livetha’s location. “She’s… north. Ish.”

It's going to be very destroyed and on fire.

I imagine you can feel it within you, trying to act of its own accord. Here.

The ennuller released a pulse of power, tearing a hole in the world and dropping him and Tenth into the Void.

(A few moments after, ennullers showed up and began pulling the people who were still alive out of the ground.)

“I can try it now.” She reached to connect with Livetha, connected to Gaioh, and ripped into the withergeist.

Sharp pain stabbed through her skull, but she grit her teeth and pressed the withergeist out of Gaioh’s body.

Several things snapped and now her head REALLY hurt.

One of the survivors perked up at this. "Did you just... remove a withergeist from him?"

"Happy Birthday to Bacon," suddenly started playing faintly.

Three breadmunks danced by, doing the macarena. Each carried a cupcake on their heads, which they set down in front of Beosta. The cupcakes were, of course, maple-bacon flavor.

With an explosion of bacon-colored streamers, Bacon the Bard appeared.

"On a scale of one to ten," he announced, "how would you rate that appearance?"

The Valiant One gripped his dagger tightly, looking like he wanted to ram it into Platypus's chest. "If you have information that exonerates the Great Wizard, then testify at the trial. For now, don't interfere. We have more than enough cause to arrest and try him, and I'm afraid you can't get rid of an order of the council to arrest a fugitive simply by shouting about evidence that you claim to have procured."

The rabbits began moved softly, the vibrations in the ground barely perceptible even to Hacob's senses as they stalked closer.

"The General is a wily foe. And powerful." ... raised a finger. "But any foe can be defeated, if you have information about them and think normally. She is one of the most powerful shapeshifters of her kind, as you can see, and she wields the maces of the Four Ghanderflaffle kings. One can disrupt Narration and other related abilities, one gives her mastery over the elements, one absorbs energy from her opponents, and the last... I do not know what the last mace does. It is a secret known only to Ghanderflaffles. So, given this information, what do you think we should do?"

Selppaenip puzzled this out. "Should we... attempt to disarm her, then use her weapons against her?"

1 hour ago, NameIess said:

The lightning was absorbed into one of the General's maces harmlessly, and she continued her swing towards TP's wing.

TP flexed his very large wing with particular force, hoping to use its bulk to bat away the General.

"I must be careful in what I say." The Dreamsmith stepped between two overgrown stone pillars, and suddenly they were standing in a desert. In the distance, a tower loomed. He began walking at a precise angle just 7 degrees off of the tower. "If any of those mentioned in the prophecy should come to prominence and importance, then they must be watched. I am not saying this solely to you, understand? These words are not solely for your benefit. Others hear them, and of others I must be wary. But these words are for you and yours alone." The Dreamsmith handed the Enuller a folded note sealed with a drop of wax. "Do not read this here. Read it only when you are certain that no one is paying attention. If a whisper of the information in this note gets into the wrong hands, all that you have worked for could be doomed."

A wall was before them, with a door set in it. rolling up his map, the Dreamsmith faced the Enuller. "Our ways must part here. If you have any further inquiries, speak them quickly."

The ennuller nodded. Thank you for your time. I hope we shall never have to use this information. He paused. One final question- I don't suppose you could tell us how you came into being?

1 hour ago, Through The Living Glass said:

Tam grinned at Asher. "I think you'll find that I can."

Outside, the town began to reassemble itself. Stone and wood and metal returned to how they had been before the attack, while fires and scorch marks disappeared. Plants regrew and possessions were recreated, as if nothing had happened at all.

"Go see for yourself."

Where is she right now?

Does that really make a difference? Adding the "bard" part?

"Absolutely! Do you have any idea how many people say 'bacon' on a daily basis?"

1 hour ago, TwinStorm said:

Veleraxon curled his lips as he gazed around the reassembling town. He wouldn't have bothered to torch it if he hadn't known it would have reassembled. Brave adventurers as you must be, he said, speaking to them once more. I understand you came here to fight withergeists. Would it please you to come to my mountain fortress for some time. I understand you are traveling with a man known as Bacon the Bard. Don't ask me how I know, but he happens to be famous in my... crowd among the Multiverse. I understand he has a podcast? Anyway, I much desire to speak with him.

@xinoehp512

"At your service!" Bacon bowed.

1 hour ago, Through The Living Glass said:

"But why do they care so much about getting the soul far away?"

Mm. Well then.

He looked off into the distance for a moment.

It's probably time I told you . . . Shoe's not my actual name.

Yes, it does.

Husheth.

Bacon choked. "What?"

59 minutes ago, Through The Living Glass said:

Cute, huh? He chuckled. Because there's a difference between saying his name is cute and saying he's cute :P

Well, good thing you like Shoe, he grinned mischievously, because I was absolutely trying to trick you just now.

Tam didn't understand. "Why wouldn't you be able to?"

Bacon harrumphed. "That's not funny, you know. Faking people out like that."

2 hours ago, TwinStorm said:

"No!" Cricket shouted. "No! It's not that simple. You can't take him away from me. There's not enough left of either of us to survive on our own. He's a part of me." he said, backing away from the Enuller. "He's a part of me you'll never take away."

Veleraxon landed softly in front of the humans, and studied them. Then he bowed his head and spoke in all of their heads telepathically. I'm sorry I attacked you, at the time I didn't realize there were humans, I thought withergeists were overrunning the town. What I say today was a true example of courage and strength. You are heroes, each in your own way. I am Veleraxon, dragon of the North. I bid you welcome as hero for your actions saved the lives of innocents.

@Through The Living Glass @The Halcyon Girl @LIV_SB-DustBringer @The sarcasm spren @SpiritOfWrath (?)

He's with Cricket right now.

The ennuller frowned. Hmm. Well, as long as you remain... combined... you count as having access to the Powers of Silence. Which means you have a choice. He held up a finger. You can agree to come and be trained in the Silent Halls, or... he held up a second finger. You can have your ennulling abilities excised from your soul.

Bacon can be in multiple places at once if he wants to.
