I am authorized to receive your explanation.

Bat stepped in. Seeing no ill effects and not knowing about the tattoos, Gaioh followed.

The ennuller pulled out a monocle etched with runes and inspected the pen.

I suspect what he meant was that signing a contract with this pen would bind your soul to uphold it. A dangerous thing, indeed. Is the piece of paperwork you are filling out a contract?

"That's definitely a possibility. The paperwork is not a contract, it is an application for Enuller assistance."

TP could not hold it back any longer. He sneezed.

A powerful explosion of air burst forth from every one of his scales, sending every human, rabbit, and ghanderflaffle in the vicinity flying.

Fortunately, Hacob wasn't just human. Unfortunately, he hadn't been paying attention. Distracted by the rabbits, he was blasted by the sneeze, bowling over Subversion and clipping Nogard not quite hard enough to knock him over.

Light dimmed as they ventured further into the fog.

A few feet in they found Cricket's shoe, followed shortly thereafter by Cricket's knife.

Salem, still floating, fell asleep in the comfortable darkness, drifting forward slowly and somehow staying with the group. she murmered softly in her sleep, and ocassionally little green sparks would appear around her floating body.

Beosta followed.

International Rabbit Sign Language?

Hacob, fortunately, spoke rabbit. And could also feel the tremors in the air as they signed and ground as they approached.

[I can get you more of the tasty things if you help TP and Subversion in their fights.]

Close. Invisible Rabbit Sign Language.

The rabbits paused. [More tasty things? We like the tasty things.] signed one. Another signed more fiercely [No, they want to free him! why would we help free him? When he is dead, we will be free!] The other rabbits bobbed their fluffy unseeable heads in agreement and chanted in IRSL [Free! Free!] [Free to eat!] [Free to feast!] [Free to consume all tasty things!] One rabbit signed above the silent hubbub. [We start with him. He gave us the tasty thing when we nibbled his toes. What will he give us when we nibble the rest of him, I wonder?] Hacob felt more tremors in the ground, and realized that he was surrounded. The invisible rabbits began slowly ambling towards him.

The explosion of air did not notice ..., and so it passed over him without effect.

The Silent Hero managed to keep his feet, barely stumbling from the force of the explosion. The Valiant One was sent rolling forwards to land in a heap in front of Nogard, sword planted in the ground beside him.

The General shouted, growing dozens of spikes to shoot into the ground and slow her momentum as she skidded away from TP. Her maces flashed as she spun, eyes following the unconscious Great Wizard's trajectory. Growing more spikes, she started rolling to intercept him.

By sheer unfortunate chance, Subversion's Narrationblade just happened to be angled such that when Hacob hit her, it lodged itself in his spine. Subversion smiled slightly-in fully genuine regret and horror, of course-as she fell.

The rabbits smelled Hacob's pain. And they hungered for it. The explosion gave him distance, but he could feel more and more rabbits gathering, drawn by the common desire for tasty things.

TP blearily took off, scales still tinged slightly red. He swooped and caught the Great Wizard in midair.

Selppaenip, who had narrowly missed being bowled over by Hacob, called out. "TP! Over here!"

Nogard extricated himself from the pile, scanning the ground for the people he'd seen get blown off TP's back. "Gail! Jilu!" @The Halcyon Girl @SpiritOfWrath

Gail sat up from wherever the heck she was, head spinning. Where was Qodi? Dang, she was dead without Qodi…

She mumbled something incomprehensible.

As the group walked further and further into the mist, the light behind them grew dimmer and dimmer.

Trees lurked in front of them, hazy shadows in the fog.

Onyx replaced the clocks so the machine was in a fixed state.

The hilt of the Narrationblade slammed into Subversion's nose as Hacob kept going, breaking it. He was so, so, sorry that that happened. What a tragedy. It was even worse because it became a lot harder to heal when Nogard was around. Broken noses didn't look very good. That's a shame.

Fortunately, the blast of air also sent the rabbits flying, and they flew a lot farther than Hacob had. He jumped into the air, unfurling wings that had apparently always been there. Or maybe the Narrationblade had made them. He flew over to TP to try to awaken the Great Wizard.
