A rumbling in the distance, and as everyone turns to look, an avalanche of ~1 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 pineapples appears.

Selppaenip reached the impact site and investigated.

At the center of the impact crater lay a glowing chunk of metal that periodically shot off sparks that warped spacetime around them, causing portals to open and close randomly in the vicinity of the crash sight.

... regarded the metal, then nodded, eyes flickering towards Subversion for a fraction of a moment. "That's convenient. Narrator, I suppose you can use your powers to make this thing take us where we need to go?"

"So do you know which Blades they are? Don't tell me what they are if you do, I don't want it uttered on the thread."

"I do. And I shall keep that secret, for now. But the secret of the Blade's identity may soon come to an end." The Dreamsmith sighed. "Platypus, do you understand the real danger of these Plotblades? The trial Omen gave you, that was a possible future in which only one of the Blades were found. Holding one of those Plotblades, anything is possible. No laws will bind you." The glow of the Dreamsmith's eyes brightened, then dimmed, and a wistful expression formed on his face. "You could achieve your heart's greatest desire, and perhaps... perhaps you could even put it down afterwards."

"Somewhat. It seems my Author missed some clues, but a different Author clued him in. You might have already known it."

The Brave Adventurer pulled out his iridescent watch and began polishing it. "I... was not aware that there was any particular secret in my predecessor's identity. Would you be so kind as to share this secret?"

TP scooped her up onto his back and tromped over to where the Brave Adventurers were tying up the Great Wizard.

[What do you think you're doing?] he rumbled menacingly.

The General appeared distracted by something, but the Valiant One quickly stepped between Gail and TP and the Great Wizard. "We are taking this criminal into custody." A ring of Brave Adventurers fanned out and began surrounding the pair of heroes. "Just as we're about to do to you. Surrender peacefully, unless you wish to die in the face of insurmountable odds."

The General, who had overcome her surprise at the sudden reversal of the Ghanderflaffle empire's direction, spun her maces threateningly.

Sequence jumped, nearly falling out of her rocking chair. "Oh! Goodness gracious! Hello! You must be the uh... Brave Adventurer, yes?" She stood up from her chair, dusting herself off a bit before extending a hand to the Brave Adventurer. "Yes, I did invite you! Lovely to meet you!"

The Brave Adventurer shook her hand. "Likewise, likewise. So, for what purpose did a distinguished person such as yourself wish to meet with me?"

Shoe also took one.

Tam made a tiny hat out of one of the pineapples and put it on Livetha. "Aww!"

Livetha squeaked and jumped onto Tam. I like you, human girl.

Sequence was a bit embarrassed, and blushed faintly. "W-Well, I think distinguished may be a bit far... A-Anyways! Yes, I wanted to hear your side of the, uh... Conflict that's going on. Your motives, your reasoning behind your actions and your opinion on the new Plotblades, which, to my understanding, are the focus of this. Please, take a seat." A second rocking chair appeared across from Sequence's chair, with the coffee table between them. A floating tea kettle poured two cups.

Sequence jumped again, looking over to Erif who had appeared on the porch of her cabin. "Why, hello Erif! Have you met the Brave Adventurer?"

"Hey," said Erif, narrowing his eyes. "Didn't you try to arrest me?"

"Ah!" said Selppaenip to Subversion. "You are a Narrator?"

By sheer coincidence, that somewhere just so happened to be Bacon's castle.

She pulled a muffin out of Shoe's pocket and started eating it. Shoe did the same.
