"Quagmire only helps those who are honest and true, not those who are evil" - Natsu

Everyone who steps into the beam glitters away, and Quagmire follows as the beam starts to fade.

A large chamber extends far into the distance. The air here is thick, as though it’s listening. The walls seem to lean closer, their surface glistening with faint, spectral light. A voice echoes softly, urging you onward: ‘Speak, for only the truth will open the path before you.’

“He can’t talk, you idiot.”

"Actually-" Bacon began to contradict, then cut off. "Uh, you are entirely correct."

He conjured a piano and began to play Waterfall, doing his best to appear not nervous.

She looked a bit unsettled by that, but nodded solemnly. She nodded with the beat of the song. "Thank you for the visit. You're quite good at that piano! How long have you played?"

"Technically, since my creation! As a Bard, I am expected to know how to practice every instrument in existence. Piano has a special place in my heart, however- I was playing piano in my very first appearance on the thread, after all. Would you like to learn?"

Beosta felt her blood turn cold. She reminded herself, with some great relief, that this was Shoe’s trial, not hers.

"Impressive! I thank you for the offer, but perhaps another time. My energy must be focused elsewhere. See that down there?"
Sequence pointed one finger off into the crystalline mountain range, and, barely visible in something of a crevice in the mountains, was a patch of green and blue, approximately the size of a large city, or small country. In it, two clusters of buildings sat on either side of the green, and fireballs and explosions bloomed in the fields between them.

"No one appreciates nonsense humor anymore," grumbled Bacon. "You walk in a room juggling pianos, and no one says an eye!"

I rarely say "an eye" anyway, and I don't think pianos would help

don't forgor that youre in the presence of an Ennuller, so no narrating ;)

Ennullers don't passively block Narration. they can choose to block it, but it's not required

She laughed. "Go ahead, I suppose. But, I wont fade into nothing! I have plenty to do here, and I believe my limited 'wisdom' may be of some value to some one day. I... am one of, if not the oldest Narrator still surviving, aren't I? Now that both Nameless and Thaidakar have departed?"

A clone of Hacob appeared so he could do something. Being with characters from an inactive Author was very boring.

"I mean... I forget if Xino is alive. If he's not, then probably. Next would be Playpus, then Subversion, then Onyx, then me, with others at the end (and maybe some scattered around inside the list)."

Hacob raised an eyebrow, summoned a piano, and played an accompanying part.

"What about the Bookwyrm? Where's he been? He's been here... quite a long while, if my memory serves me correctly."

Bacon squinted. "Oh! Are they throwing a fireworks show?"

Hot dang

You ask a hard question

Oh, ah. Um . . . He suddenly wished the others hadn't come along.

He thought for a moment. I . . . I fear that this was all my fault. I fear that I could have done something more and avoided all this. Maybe it's not rational of me, but . . .

He shrugged, not sure what else to say.

btw Quagmire is activly blocking narration attempts, to prevent any tampering with the trial

The ethereal light flickers, and the air grows thick with tension. Shadows cast by the flickering lights seem to pulse with each confession, their weight hanging over the group. The voice returns, its tone soft but unyielding: “In the shadows of honesty, doubt often lurks. Will you let it speak?”

Sequence grimaced. "... No. It's a religious war. I've been trying to foster life on this planet of mine, and it's gotten quite intelligent in some cases. I try to intervene as little as possible, but my slight nudges and interactions with them has led to the rise of... Well, religion. Two of them, to be clear. I've continuously tried all the subtle methods I can to foster peace, but despite my best efforts, they've gone to war. I'm still trying, of course, seeding peace and compassion in the minds of all, but It's difficult work, and is having little effect. I believe soon I will have to change tactics..."
Sequence sighed and rocked in her chair slightly.

“Creepy,” Beosta murmured. “Plus, didn’t he already do that?”

Livetha chittered at her, informing her that she thought Beosta was no fun.

The chamber darkens, and a chill runs through the air as you feel a pull towards the center. A shimmering figure materializes before you—your own reflection, but twisted and warped by your fears and regrets. Its eyes glimmer with an unsettling knowledge, mirroring your innermost doubts.

“Face the shadow that lives within you. It knows your deepest fears. Will you confront it, or let it consume you?”

"Well, no... I don't think more violence will solve anything, but... Simply appearing to them, and attempting to teach them directly. Perhaps that could make a difference."

Beosta was very glad this wasn’t her trial. Her own reflection probably wouldn’t go over well.

definitely won't cause more religious wars caused by each faction believing that "God" was speaking to the other side

"Well, I can't think of any way that could possibly go wrong! You should do it. Make a holiday out of it or something."
