Oh and btw this is very very cold, because the actual place is on top of a mountain and bc of our powers no one bothers to heat it up.

Ista thought. She remembered, just barely. “When I used my powers to make it feel pain, it reflected off on me. So I switched tactics. I made it feel joy… and forgiveness. If it were actually Berin, that would have stopped him.”

It was dark, cold, and empty.

And hungry. So hungry. Always hungry. And there was so little food. But this food, this food... This one was full of surprises. It had been one food, then it had been another, and now it was another. This had been good.

("My goodness," said the inspector, awestruck. "I believe we are now hearing the dream eater's thoughts! Who could have imagined?")

But now... now the food was no food. This was not good. Where had the food gone? Had it all been eaten?

("Keep it up!" the inspector encouraged. "I wonder...")
