“Another one?” Gail asked.

Sequence jumped in alarm again, looking at Gail with even more alarm. "Where- What- Uhh... Well, I knew a 'Brave Adventurer' back in my day, and I've been told that the current 'Brave Adventurer' in question is not the same one as the one I knew."

Her hair was still purple.

Shoe was confused why she was saying thank you for the third time, but he nodded. Maybe she was just really grateful.

"I'd say! Whenever characters on TLT share a name, I also get so confused." Sequence shook her head. "Anyways, I don't believe I've met you yet! I am the Narrator Sequence." Sequence did a little bow/curtsy thing. "And who might you be?"

The three would-be assassins continued attempting to flee, one  tripping and dropping his Mordite dagger. As he hit the ground, his leg twisted underneath him, and when he tried to rise, it would not support him. Desperately, he tried to grab the dagger, but it was just out of reach.

… sighed. “Fine. I’ll come along. But only as a teacher.” He glared at the Great Wizard. “I’m not going to help you.”

”Of course not. I wouldn’t ask anything else.” The Great Wizard smiled. “Well Selppaenip, how are you with flying rabbits?”

"I have never heard of such a thing," rumbled Selppaenip, "but I fear no new experience."

Which means that I have magical powers that let me do a few things, with… huge limitations, obviously.” She laughed awkwardly. “Because the world is definitely real, and no one can manipulate the fabric of reality on a fundamental level without serious consequences.”

She turned away hurriedly, glaring at a nearby tree and hiding her thoughts carefully.

"Nice to meet you, Subversion," said Nogard, unable to tear his eyes away from her. There was something he felt like he was forgetting, but for some reason it didn't feel as important.

1 hour ago, Sequence said:

"I'd love to help you find out, though! It's about time I did something for once, I've been too dormant for too long."

Sequence did some kind of extravagant and most certainly theatrical hand motion, and Fuzzy suddenly appeared. She had a toothbruth in her mouth, and was looking at Sequence and Nogard with an alarmed expression. Sequence pointed at her with a big grin.

"She can help too!"

Nogard inspected Fuzzy, curious as to the being's nature.

Tull walked up to Nogard, and thoroughly shook his shoulder. “NOGARD! QUEST! FOCUS!”

Jilu thought. Deserved.

Tull turned, and spat in her direction.

 Hey!

Nogard blinked, his eyes suddenly refocusing. Right! The quest!

He turned to Subversion. "Would you like to help us save the world?" he blurted. "W-we could really use your help."

Hhhhhhmmmmmmm…

Jilu walked up to Tull and glared at him. “Why’d you spit at me?”

Tull responded with one word. “Vulture.”

Jilu scoffed. What’s that supposed to mean?

”It means I don’t like it when people mock others when they can’t defend themselves.” He spat again.

Hacob rolled his eyes. At least Subsy wasn't going to get them on Onyx's bad side. He really didn't want to be on Onyx's bad side. And the world is real, just a little... different than the one that Nogard thought it was.

Fuzzy seemed to have gotten out of her initial alarm of being summoned so suddenly, and was now sitting cross-legged on the ground chewing on the end of her toothbrush. Appearance wise, she appeared to be a human female with pale skin of unknown age with a short, fuzzy mop of golden-blond hair. She looked up a Nogard blankly.

Hearing Gail’s thought, Tull tossed Gail a bead of Lerasium, using his Narrator powers to make sure it arrived in her hand. He sent a thought (with his Narrator powers), telling her to eat it, it would make her important.

Official count is 5, now!

Just ask Shoe. He said. Yes, it gives you powers.
He took a bead out, eating and swallowing. He opens his mouth to show he had swallowed.

The assassin fled quickly, vanishing out of the room in an instant. The room was now empty, save for the misty figure and Platypus. The figure looked apprehensive. “Well, you have passed your first trial. There are, however , several more. Um, if you could just wait a moment while I prepare them, that would be… er, nice.”

Subversion absently reached out across space and time to punch Hacob in the face. It would be terrible if I had to tell Onyx about Platypus’s situation, wouldn’t it? Who knows what he’d do with that Plotblade of his?
