Someone else laughed. "To someone like you perhaps it is. have no such problems. But you are playing a dangerous game indeed. You think to serve the Witherlord for your own gain. I warn you. He is dangerous, and the power of the withergeists? well, let me just repeat myself. You are playing with fire. Your path is foolish. The Witherlord will not give you anything that will not help him toward his goal."

Abomination blinked, "the withergeists are what make it dangerous. playing with fire indeed. but you misunderstand my goals. I wish to see this world gone, I wish to see it transformed into the great realm the Witherlord seeks to create, a one that is great."

"My undying loyalty. Just give me the power to take my revenge, and I will serve you."

Thaidakar wondered if it was Someone reincarnated. then again was it Unintelligible reincarnated?

The host I am does not matter, replied the Witherlord coldly. My goals are the same.

"You wish to see all things destroyed? What 'great realm' can there be when all is ruin?"

They are somewhat independent, the mime acknowledged. For instance, they have strongly resisted our attempts to investigate.

Moni nodded. "So, should I go talk to them? They seemed to want me to finish the survey, last time I talked to them."

precisely, I can offer you an entire race of narratorgeists as death commandos.

"no, the goal is to translate the land into the beyond, so everyone can experience peace."

Mythos teleported away.

A strange humanoid figure appeared out of the shadows that the Quarkbeast had been eating. It was made solely from shadows, and so had no features.

Nameless approached it, extending a hand. "Hello there stranger. How do you do?"

Abomination smiled, "luckily someone new is controlling the witherlord." it was a bluff of course, he didn't actually know the wither lord's goal.

Mythos blinked, and then widened his eyes, "OOOOHHHH SAMMAEL?? WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO??" Mythos smiled and said, "oh! that makes way more sense, I've never heard him called sam though." Mythos laughed, tears of laughter coming to him.

"Ah, yes." The Witherlord swirled his hand and summoned a withergeist. Its eyes were empty, allowing one to see inside its vacant head cavity.

"A maregeist," the Witherlord explained. "Proficient in mental illusions, less so in physical destruction. I trust you'll find it useful."

The craze overtook Rond as he became absorbed in his work. The craze was what he called the times when he became so absorbed in his work he took no notice of time or space. when he experimented and experimented until it worked. sometimes it was weeks other times it was hours. today however he had no idea how long it would be. he was working on building another of them. his creatures, his pain, his suffering, and his glory. they were the crowning jewel of his work, the two top most of them were currently nemesis, Abomination and Mythos they were called, or in his head, Experiment 626 and 627.

But now he was creating something even more powerful, the most powerful one of all, the greatest of all his creations. it was called 628 in his mind. it was almost finished.

Abomination impatiently spun a dagger in his hand, "my race has no name, we are most similar to narratorgeists. except we don't have an aversion to Earwaxium. me and mythos are only two of over six hundred of our race. we are all strong, though me and my brother the most powerful."

"No, I am completely unrelated to them. I am one of the six elemental components that make up living things. I am the purest form of the cool comforting darkness, of dreams."

The Quarkbeast watched with interest.
