Nameless stared at Thaidakar in disbelief. "Haven't you done any research into TLT's history? Ghanderflaffles have been around since page 5. And I'm pretty sure most withergeists weren't originally people."

"We had an empire?" a random Ghanderflaffle wandering by asked, right before being turned into a withergeist.

Nameless stared at the Ghanderflaffle. "Of course you had an empire. You still have an empire."

Thaidakar smiled, "then what were they? nothing? air? dust? well that is perfect! that just means they will turn back into that!" Thaidakar smiled as he picked up one of the cards and threw it at a ghanderflaffle and said, "EZMEREZIA!"

The card bounced off. The ghanderflaffle coughed uncomfortably.

Thaidakar sighed, "I might have said it wrong," he threw another card, "EZMERIZE! there we go!" the ghanderflaffle turned into a small human child of about five.

Everyone screamed.

Another Ghanderflaffle wandered onto the scene

Nameless stared at the human child. "WHY IS IT HUMAN?!"

Nameless turned the human back into a ghanderflaffle. "I don't think those cards are going to work."

Thaidakar shrugged, "let's try it on something else, it might not have worked because ghanderflaffles are, well, ghanderflaffles. hm, should we try it on a waffle?" Thaidakar pulled out a waffle and a card.

Nameless shook his head. "It won't work on withergeists."

Thaidakar sighed, "hey, it's at least a step in the right direction, right?" Thaidakar took a drink of pure super lava and sighed contentedly, "mm, well, I think I have an idea."

Nameless checked his watch. "Well, out with it. You only have... what? 4 days? 3?"

Thaidakar sighed, "I have five, also, the idea is none other than using something like this." Thaidakar pulled out an uno reverse card, a normal one, "it worked once, it can work again."

Nameless scratched his head. "Didn't it... not work? like, multiple times?"

Thaidakar smiled, "actually it did, just not in the way I thought, I think I understand it now." Thaidakar played it.

except Thaidakar wasn't there, Nameless was in a small room. it was made of black stone. not black like you could see, but black, a darkness. it felt suffocating.
