Chad sighed and put away his nuclear warheads.

"But sir, how we will stop the music?" asked another police officer.

"Science," said the police chief grimly.

"Oh. Are you sure we can't use the nukes?" Asked the police officer belligerently.

The police chief groaned. "Tell you what, if you can fill out the paperwork, you can use it."

"Well, if you put it that way..." The police officer wandered off to go do some more work on the paperwork for that time he had used a flamethrower on a kitten.

"Now," said the police chief, "we just need to create an anti-song."

[NameIess]

"Uh, chief? are you sure? Those scientists are... scary." 

[xinoehp512 he/him]

"Perhaps," said the police chief grimly. "But there's less paperwork involved, and that's all that matters."

[NameIess]

"But they're really scary."

[xinoehp512 he/him]

"Storm it, Charles!" said the chief with a glare. "Do you want extra paperwork or not?"

[NameIess]

"Like, sneak into a police station, kill one of your officers, and then imitate their voice scary." said the scientist. "What can I help you with?"

"An anti-song to whatever demonic tune those neighbors have conjured up." The police chief rubbed his head. "Oh, and fill out a form for Charles, would you? Internal homicides are almost as bad as nuclear launches in terms of red tape."

The scientist smiled. "I already have the proper anti-song." He smiled evilly, tossing a tape to the police chief. "After all, I'm the one who made it. You'll have to fill out the paperwork yourself though." He walked away laughing maniacally.

"Curse you!" said the police chief, shaking his fist in frustration. "May your donuts always be stale!"

"So uh, can we nuke them next time?" Asked the adventurer.

"Paperwork, private," said the chief, shaking his head. "Here, hire a band, would you? We need someone to play this anti-song."
