Honorless he/him Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 my guess is Dockson then, for Doxil
Ghanderflaffle she/her Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 It's also recommended in the rules to use proper grammar and sentence structure @Honorless and @PrinceGenocide. If you haven’t yet, you can read the rules here.

We are trying our very best to curb the issue Thank you very much for pointing it out anyway my dear man/woman. AonEne he/him Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Yes, I meant that we know the name of one or more cosmere month(s) that this character lives during. None of the guesses so far are correct.

Even Calderis' grammar or spelling are not perfect. The same goes for many, many others (even in Topic titles) And must importantly, Sanderson is an international author. Not everyone is a native English speaker. Pointing that out was not at all nice of you and I'm very hurt and disappointed. If you took offence at my disagreeing to Ene, then feel free to tell me off, within reason, by voicing your objections and listening to my arguments as well.@AonEne, I don't believe I gave offence but if I did, I do apologize. Being this nitpicky means honoring the letter of the rules rather than the intent. The idea of being conscious of one's grammar is to make themselves understandable, not for flaunting linguistic prowess. And as @PrinceGenocide said, if I did made a mistake, it was probably because I was excited. I'll try to curb such enthusiasm in the future. Aon Tia she/her Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 I agree. Insisting on impeccable grammar is a little unfair. As rightly pointed out by @Honorless many here at the shard have English as a second or even third language. The reason for insisting on grammar must have been that the posts are legible and the point made is clear. 1
Friendshipspren he/him Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 I agree with @Honorless. It was quite unnecessary and nitpicky to point it out . Picking on me , that I understand , I do have a bad habit of using u's instead of ' you ', etc. Honorless on the other hand is almost perfect in his diction and grammer. Picking on him is very unfair 1
AonEne he/him Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 I don’t think anyone here has meant to offend anyone else; it is true that some people are trying very hard with their grammar, and that English is not a first language for them. It is also true that it’s a rule to try to use good grammar - which is something many people who can don’t bother to do, and it can get very tiring after a while. I’m sure @Handerfle was attempting to help and didn’t mean anything rude by it. It’s hard to tell sometimes if someone is actually trying and English is just more of a struggle, or if they’re someone who speaks it fluently and is just not caring. Tl;dr: No offense is meant on either side, everyone makes mistakes. By the way, Honorless, you can call me Ene - you don’t have to tag me every time.
Honorless he/him Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) Noted, can we have the next clue? I don't think guessing with just that one clue is really possible Edited November 25, 2019 by Honorless

I’m sure you can go through my posts and find some mistakes. It was more for Genocide, but I added you as well. Sorry for offending you. It was mostly because of all the abbreviations. AonEne he/him Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Guys, it’s been like an hour since I clarified, these are not crazy-long times to wait Here’s a second clue: it is widely assumed that this character died.

Again I think that abbreviations need to be avoided because it could lead to confusion and meaning of the post is lost. But some use of abbreviations should be fine as long as it is perfectly clear what is the intended meaning.
