Alright, my plans for being more participatory in this thread are still in force. However, I may end up not doing as much because I'm not good at analysis.

So, I will just say that I am lurking a bit, but I don't have any ideas for voting or analysis. If I had to do a single gut read, I'd say Droughtbringer, and for evidence, I'm going to point at the role-claim after Steeldancer. However, it may just be a slip-up, what with forgetting that we all read into these things too much.

For instance...

I will say that there is indeed a vote manipulation ability, because someone told me that someone else had an ability to negate a vote. This could be useful to the elim team, but not as much as a vote-changer.

So, from what I can tell, livinglegend is currently on the chopping block? I’m not going to vote this round just because I’m still kinda unsure who’s who, and me voting would either be bandwagon if or random. I’m going to try to be more active. I apologize now if I fail to be....

also, can I get a vote count?

Welcome Lady of Chaos :)

Haha. Ninja'd by Devotary doing what I was going to do.

My defense for this:

I have a village read on Steel, and I wanted to point out evidence that it is a role that actually existed; as elims could have a lot of fun by creating fake roles and set up false information. False information is what this game is based off of.

If you want to lynch me, then feel free to. You will receive confirmation that I am what I say, and that I am a villager. This would not only confirm that the role Steel talked about actually exists, but also help to give the village more information in a lack of information game.

The only thing I'd say that would be better is lynching someone else. Lynching someone who has a high chance of having a different role will allow us to start to form a better picture of what is going on with roles in the is game, and help us come closer to winning it.

I believed his neutral claim because *drumroll please* I am a citizen of Kharbranth. I was phishing for an elim contact like Orlock described.

Why would this make you believe his neutral claim? If you made a misleading claim, what was stopping Drake from doing the same?

I was just verifying that it is a role, and that Steel is not creating a role and lying about it

And so we learn of another reason for the apparent lack of vote manipulation. I would advise any other Scholars to not roleclaim, as that just tells any vote manipulators who not to target.

Sounds reasonable. Droughtbringer. Eternum  for now, because of the voting last cycle that ended up all going green. Of course, that’ll just lead us to the exact same discussion, but it’s worth a shot.

Exactly!

A Chaos lynched had momentarily formed, which I believe is pretty NAI on Hero's part. Though Mad joined in with thier vote soon to try and save themselves from the lynch. Could be either a village or an elim move TBH

I'm a Ph.D in Porkology, but even I don't really know what those acronyms are. I assume those are some kind of chemical compounds, which when mixed with maple syrup, lightly glazed, charbroiled, and ingested will result in truly delicious flavor compounds. Just to be clear, my vote for Chaos was not purely out of gutless self preservation. I was resigned to the possibility of being lynched. I consider my life to be that of a pig's-- fragile, small in the scheme of things, easily shattered by axes and hungry Texans. If me and my miserable pigs was all I cared for, it would have made far more sense for me to vote Drought, who I think had more votes and would have lifted me more cleanly out of danger rather than keeping myself as one of the candidates on the chopping block. I voted for Chaos because she was lurking, and I dislike lurkers and the way they're always drooling in their sleep, and someone had suggested it, and I thought it would be appropriately chaotic to have a three-way tie featuring someone named Chaos. Now that Chaos has arrived, my special dislike for her has dissipated and been replaced with the normal, regular-intensity dislike I hold for all non-pig persons in the universe.

*looks at people arguing over whether or not to believe neutral claims* I think my position is clear so just gonna nope out of that particular discussion. Had enough of that already.

Also I don't know if anyone has asked God what happens in a tie yet. I had the impression one of the tied victims died anyway, but looking over the rules it ain't spelled out. As a totally legitimate scientist, I can't say I care for asking God for favors, but  @Elenion can you tell the pigs what happens in a tie.

If all the pigs end up in a tie, only one of them goes to market. Which one that is, well, we don't know that until the truck comes around to take 'em there.

Any information given out freely is information that the Elims don't have to gather, as STINK said (wait, did I just agree with STINK?). But sure, go ahead.

Anyways, I'm gonna cast my vote on Steeldancer.  A fake role-claim, or one that is true but leaves out an Elim alignment, is a good way to get people to set aside suspicions for a little while, but I'm not buying it.

@Steeldancer, I’m just calling it like I see it.

Ok, so you're maintaing that my role is fake news. I see now.

Seems to me like a banter meant to sound like Steeldancer’s making mistakes, and Jondesu’s calling it elim-y, giving them both village reads.

So of course they’re both elims. Or, they’ve got some neutral role for getting votes on each other.

I can’t tell which one it is, but I am not going to call them villagers until they die.

Even thought I was the deciding vote on Drake? Would I have done that if I were an elim? Or revealed my role for the sole purpose of bringing information for the village? Idk, Jondesu seems a lot more suspicious than me. Too suspicious, as I've mentioned. It's weird.

With the fear of sounding like I'm just following Steel... I agree that Jondesu is playing suspiciously. I read the reveal from Steel as a village thing to do, and I don't see elim!steel doing it.

Well, there is your vote on Drake to consider, @Steeldancer. I am mostly looking for something I can offer commentary on, and that seemed like a good idea. I find your accusations of each other confusing in their ferocity, so I added some accusations of my own as a kind of poke vote. It didn’t include votes because there are two people involved, and in case I didn’t have time to come and post a green word.

I will put you as more village, but Jondesu is either neutral or an Escaped Inmate imo.

Mistook Drake for Drought

Er, whoops. My bad. I mean Drake.

Nalter walked around, trying to figure out why he wasn’t sounding coherent. Was it because he was hungry? Was it because the others had eaten more chouta? He didn’t know. He had tried nearly everything in this city, and none had seemed to form a good memory, especially because he had only one thought on his mind.

The murders. They were vivid enough for a memory, but they were unconnected to all information Nalter would ever receive. Taste would not form a connection to the thought of dying in Kharbaranth.

Also, tastespren. That was on the mind too.

Nabbers wheels his chouta cart up and parks it in his usual spot, whistling a jaunty tune all the while. He then pulls out a flat board with some writing on it and hangs it prominently on his cart next to the big banner that reads: “Chow down on some Chouta! $2.”

The new sign reads: “Job opening. Inquire within.”

Posted

And... you find my vote on Drake suspicious? Even though I broke the tie, and explained that I did it because Orlok PMed me? How it makes sense that that makes me suspicious, i just do not see.

No, I’m saying it puts you as possible to be villager, rather than neutral. So my reads on you and Jondesu are:

Steeldancer is either neutral or villager

Jondesu is either neutral or elim

And I should really come up with more analysis.

A mysterious fat, squat figure waddles up to the sign and hands in an application written in mud on a slip of parchment.

"What's your name?"

"Oink."

"Do you have any experience working with chouta?"

"Oink oink."

"Where do you see yourself in five years?"

"Oink."

"Are you two pigs tied together and covered in a blanket and sent out to make Mapadonet money so she doesn't have to work anymore?"

Blast! Thwarted again.

Money. Time. Mapadonet has enough of neither. Does anyone have a vote count?

Nabbers scratches his chin for a moment, then shrugs. “‘lright, you’ll do. You’re hired.” Nabbers turns to a large sack by his cart and starts pulling out a bunch of pillows what looks like a big brown and tan tarp. “Here, put this on, then go over to that street corner and dance around.”

Five minutes later, a large figure that looks suspiciously like two pigs dressed up in a homemade costume that vaguely resembles a gigantic chouta waddles up to the street corner and begins flailing about wildly, while Nabbers happily calls out to the crowd, selling his chouta.
