I thought they said it was called something else? Plus, Palaneum is hard to remember/spell.

Now I have to go look. Maybe it was just a working title, but that's all I've seen it called (and I love it)

Edit: Bah, your right, from Chaos' initial post in the thread

But, we have a system now. It's real, and it's pretty cool, so it's time to start talking about this with you all. The software is codenamed Palanaeum (though that won't be the name of this database; it's the software's name), and it's been made by coder extraordinaire Mestiv, who you may have noticed has a new rank on the site due to his tireless work on it.

Our goals with a new WoB Archive have been to not just replicate the Theoryland Interview Database, but add new features and improve upon Theoryland. Let's talk about what Palanaeum does.

My understanding is they've decided but haven't told us. I think someone did palaneum is a problem coz of some other site?

I still hope they choose my Words of Founding idea but they probably have something far cooler :)

I truly hope this -Post link- fixes a lot of that and allows much better maintenance of the Coppermind. I image once it's finished it'll be a mad scramble and hard push on updating/linking the articles and page clean up.  Searching Theory land is a huge pain since the search function sucks so bad - at least it's something though.

I've considered updating several pages with WoB's that I frequently have to find, so that it's quicker. The "Roshar" subheading on the Aluminum page was my first attempt way back when, since Aluminum has links to everywhere else. Chaos has said that there is an updating spree on the agenda.

Here's a few more relevant posts from that thread:

Unfortunately, Palanaeum doesn't work for a few reasons, though it is cool. Honestly a big reason is that I think no one will be able to spell it properly, so that kind of kills it. So we decided Palanaeum is the software name, and our implementation of the software will be different.

We're finalizing our branding of it, so worry not, and it is also cool. But this module will not be called Palanaeum.

We have a pretty good name that we came up a day or so ago but Weiry was not ready to confirm it quite yet. I'm really liking the name we have planned though; I'm liking it more and more the more people I run it past. Nothing to announce yet though!

Thank you for the suggestions, however, but I think we are set :)

Both of these are from May 22nd. Additionally, the goal is to have the open release shortly before the release of Oathbringer.

@Chinsukolo I found a more concise one. (closest i can link to is Q56, while the WoP is Q54)

I'm trying to figure out a good name for Skaze. We only know that they are a knid of "evil Seon". So my burning question is, what ability or attribute do they have? Could you give a hint? Skaze must be a significant part in the sequel, so I should be very careful about this.

Peter
The skaze are splinters of Dominion. Dunno if that helps. But the name just comes from the name of Dominion’s shard holder, Skai. Like the word seon is related to Aon and Aona (the Devotion shard holder). The “-ze” in skaze may be related to the “se-“ in seon… Maybe!
