Again, it's pretty dead. The last post was in 2016.

Age doesn't matter!

Well, I mean, it does, but that's beside the point.

Given the limited players I'd say we'd need a few people to agree to necro it successfully for any of the cross-city stories. I'm not opposed to people carrying their own cities.

Yeah the worldbuilding was a lot of the initial draw for me, but then there was too limited opportunity for player interaction and no real overarching story so I guess it just kind of fell apart.

Pretty sure I can carry my city.

Well with Winter and Edge on board I'd be comfortable to say we can probably make it work.
I'll take a read through and see what I can post.

Also because I haven't done one in a while, here's a day in the life of with one of the Vanilla characters I came up with ages ago but never got to write.

Spoiler

Henry Lincoln woke up with a grunt, an uncomfortably large rock had somehow managed to move right under his shoulder while he slept, causing his old wound to flare up even more painfully than usual.

Sitting up gingerly, he pulled his blankets off and rubbed his tender shoulder, the coarse bandages that he could feel would need to be changed soon, but running away from a city that was being torn apart by super powered despots took priority over clean dressings.

Noticing that the sun was already some ways above the horizon he began kicking nearby lumps of blankets, waking his fellow refugees so they could be ready for the day ahead.

"Ever try shaking gently? Or sparks how about talking to wake someone up?" A nearby bundle groaned, earning itself a second kick in the proccess.

Seeing that most of the bundles had begun moving around, Henry walked over to the one that had been immediately next to him when he first woke up, and lent down gently to shake the bundle awake.

"Reporting that I have regained consciousness." A flat voice murmured from within.

The thin blankets were swiftly pulled back, revealing a round, youthful face, completely devoid of any expressions. His black hair forming a fringe that shielded his eyes from the morning light.

"Moving to complete allocated tasks." The boy murmured quietly again, swiftly standing up and beginning to fold the thin blankets that they had all been sleeping in.

Henry had stumbled upon the boy while escaping the city, one of the Queens drones obviously, but in even worse state than the ones he'd seen before. And so young! Most of the young ones had been worked to death too quickly to gain the permanent, emotionless appearance of one of the drones.
Of course, age and appearance didn't mean the boy wasn't dangerous, Henry had seen a 3 year old girl who had been droned walk up to a group of his fellow soldiers and proceed to try to rip their jugular veins out with her teeth. But the queen was no more, the lucky ones of her drones had been released back to their own minds, the less fortunate, wandered the streets, searching for a purpose.

And so, not entirely sure why, Henry had brought the child along with him, meeting up with others who were fleeing the city they had grouped together for safety while they traveled.

Looking at the boy once again, Henry attempted to arrange his own features into something resembling a friendly expression.

"You got a name boy?" He smile-growled as the young man continued to officially organize the camp for departure.

"I have been designated unit number 006."

"What about from before then? Something your parents or your friends called you?"

The young boy stopped, looking confused at the question.

"I have been designated unit number 006." He repeated.

"Of course you have." Henry sighed. "Come on then, we're having cold beef and the least mouldy bread I could find in a hurry."

The boy, Six, stopped his movements, staring ahead as though thinking about something intently.

"Acknowledged. Setting aside allocated task as lower priority."

He put down the pile of blankets and joined Henry for breakfast, washing down the unpalatable meal with some slightly muddied water.

"Overseer?" Six asked, looking up at Henry as they finished the meal.

"Henry. Or Mr. Lincoln." Henry corrected.

"Overseer Henry?" Six asked curiously, face expresionless but head tilted ever so slightly in curiosity.

"No, just Henry."

"Overseer Just Henry?"

"No, JUST... just nevermind." Henry relented with a sigh. Perhaps the boy was too far gone to be able to adapt to normal society again. Then again, what was normal society these days?

"Overseer Just Henry?"

"Yes, Six?"

"Expressing that that was a joke."

Henry smiled, helping the rest of the refugees pack up their supplies as they all set off down the road. On their way to Oregon.

Just finished it. It's actually pretty cool!

Has Brisbourne been claimed yet?

;)

Oh, Australia? This might give me an opportunity to use an Epic I've had in the back of my head for a while now. I've been hesitant to do anything with Oregon since it's already so established and now it's in its final days before Destruction, but a new playing field will be nice.

Is there anything on Coober Pedy?

What do you mean by claimed? I'm pretty sure someone was in charge of t, though I'm not sure

Well if nobody steps up...

My basic outline is somebody is in charge, then two Epics take control of it but don't kill the old leader.

Firstly, Phase:

Primary: If he touches a person or Epic, they fade away to nothing. Nobody knows what happens to them, and they don't return. Touching clothes doesn't work, it must be bare skin.

Secondary: Very limited power on travelling through objects. (He can't travel through living things, he loses any possessions on him excluding clothes, and it has a cooldown).

Passive: Slightly enhanced strength and speed, just a tad faster than the average person.

Tsunami:

Primary: She can summon waves up to 70 feet and control them, but once they've reached the target, it subsides. Acts like a normal freak wave (oxymoron?).

Secondary: Can draw moisture and generally control it.

Passive: Can breathe underwater.

I'm hoping to eventually have a whole table of natural disaster - esque Epics (Tornado, Avalanche, Earrthquake etc.)

:D

So no one has taken Coober Pedy, and from the destruction that is scourging the Overlands, my underground Eden is perfect! We can pretend nothing happened to civilization above, even though everyone knows. Just peace and harmony under Supreme Protector Covenant, and his lawkeepers.

Covenant:

Primary Power: Covenant can create laws over land he has control over. Once the law is established, he gains power every time anyone breaks the law and keeps the power until the adequate punishment has been given. The power increases with the severity of the crime. Granted power in order of severity: Extreme strength, Super reflexes, invulnerability, enhanced speed, flight, energy beams.

Secondary Power: He can detect the precise location of any criminal within his control.

Passive: Above average persuasive abilities.

Note that the lawkeepers I mentioned are just special police.

This is allowed, right?

It has been claimed all the way back by Mckeedee but as you yourself mentioned, he never actually made a post after doing some worldbuilding for the city and hasn't been on site for over a year. Last time I talked with @Voidus he prefered ignoring the original player in such instances and give it to someone that will actually participate. Final say goes to him but you're probably in luck.

Sounds good.

@Majestic Do you want to completely rebuild the city or should I send you an Alan to the doc where most of the info is. Alan = DM, btw.

Well, I want to assume he didn't spend AGES on it because I have some new plans for it...

Cheers but no thanks, I'll start from scratch if that's ok with you guys.

Hey, always happy to get new ideas.

In case you care, Voidus also once ran the numbers to make some vague estimation of how many Epics High or otherwise there would be in any given state. Not binding by any means but again, if you want a vague estimate, it's there.

Do you have said vague estimate, by any chance?

I only have ONE-- seriously even with a pretty well off army Darwin's the weakest by far. :)

btw do you like coffee because one of my Epics can make you a perfect cup.

I saw that... why a coffee Epic? Why?

Coober Pedy might be weaker that you offensively, but defensively, it's definitely stronger. I'm not sure how it would stand against some of the larger cities.

Just another quick thing: What ever happened to Blackwave and his crew?

I'm seeing lots of things holding him up for adoption (which looks EPIC [pun intended]) but who would leave an amazing idea like that?

And why has nobody adopted them yet??

Blackwave is still rowing about in Astoria together with the other anti-government forces. While I made some posts for him to move things along, he is still open for adoption if you want to throw your hat in the ring.

As for why no one did so, I can only imagine it's because he's already tied up in the story, so whoever takes him can't just do whatever they want with him.

Ah well if you're still writing him, then I really shouldn't...

Are any other members of his crew abandoned?
