Just a reminder, my vote was still for Wes, even though I voiced heavy suspicion of Shimble.
Yeah, those suspicions were wrong. And while I still back and will still back whoever Peng votes for, he can't just take a list of people who have given him roles and try and pick off the unimportant people. That's just going to deprive us of potential un-snapped. All it takes is the inquisitor messaging Peng saying he has an important role and using the power. We can't know until he gets seeked (assuming he isn't smoking himself)

Aonars post just ninja'd in as I'm typing this saying basically the same thing.

So while Shimble's death was unfortunate, you can't really fault people for voting for him after quite a few people voiced their suspicions of him. While we should all follow Peng, we need to do so comfortably and not just based on whim.
But it looks like Peng has been pretty busy though, so that's a bummer.

I never agreed to go after random people. It doesn't matter whether or not they're important. Heck, why is Peng going after unimportant ones anyway? The Inqusitor has every power. He can claim to be anything. On top of that, the ones that claimed to be Regular Crewmembers may be Unsnapped and the Unsnapped gain the powers of mistings who are converted. That can hugely narrow down the members the Inquisitor converts, and make it much easier to track them down. Peng really has no better idea who the Inquisitor is than we do. You're free to follow Peng because he can't be converted, but I wont unless he can give me more reason to vote than, "he doesn't have any powers, so it doesn't matter if he dies."

 

Awesomeness: Exactly, that would have been a much better plan than siccing everyone on one person at random. 

Umm... I'm pretty sure that we have no clue what powers the Inquisitor has. When we asked, Meta would't tell us. And the Unsnapped just get a random allomantic power.

The truth is, we really don't know, and we have to do the best with what we have. And this won't work without everyone's support.

 

EDIT: And guys, I'm done with this argument. I've put up all of my reasoning; you've put up yours. I don't want to fight.

Speaking of... Since we don't have an imminent deadline hanging over us, I say coin shooters, lurches and the rest wait until Oeng gives us some sort of feedback. You're free to interpret it s you want -and debate it here, it'll help us get closer to figuring out everyone's games- but right now, he's the only one with information from the horses mouth, unless anyone wants to volunteer their roles in public.

(And I'm not calling anyone out. If you guys think that's the right call, I'll out myself as well.)

That's not entirely true. Here's the exact quote:

UNSNAPPED: You are a Regular Villager, except you have a latent ability hiding inside of you. In the chance that a Misting is converted into a Spiked player, you'll finally recognize your true potential and snap into your allomantic powers. You will inherit the abilities of the converted allomancer, although there is a 25% chance of getting a different one.

There is also a 10% chance that you will snap eventually anyways. Every night, the GM will roll to see if you snap. If you do, the power you get will be assigned randomly.

So if a Misting is converted, an Unsnapped will Snap into that power (unless they get the 25% chance of getting something different).

Holy cow. Leave the thread for twenty four hours, come back, and this happened. We have no coins hot, and only one lurcher now.oh, and the inquisitor probably has a full fledged convert now. Sorry guys, I let you down. I really should have checked back closer to the end of voting, but I was busy :/

Out of boredom, I did a quick calculation and worked out the exact chance for an Unsnapped to gain the powers of a converted misting. It's a 77.7777777777...% chance if anyone wants to know.

 

EDIT: Made it blue since it has no actual import to the game.

Hate to point another mistake out Aether, but you haven't retracted your 'no kill' vote yet. You also haven't voted for Shimble officially.

Yeah, sorry about that. I changed my vote in my List, but forgot to officially do so. I too got rather drunk last night, and I've had *cough* company tonight, so I haven't been paying as much attention to the game as I normally would have.

 

There's still a chance that might happen. Emotional allomancers. It's pretty much a guarantee we've got one using their power right now. I'd bet we have two (maybe more, if there's a duplicate on one or both of them).

Also Aether--Vron's right. I just checked and your vote IS still for no one, rather than Shimble.

And YES! I will totally give up my messenger job in favor of being an apprentice List Maker! The pay was lousy as a messenger anyway.

If someone snaps, it'll be in the write up. I won't tell what power they got or who it is, but I will announce that someone has snapped. The person who snaps will know what power they gained. Whether they share it with everyone is up to them.

can I just say how confusing meta's PM box must be? I have, like, thirty conversations in this game alone, and he has all of those, plus all of everybody else's, plus the role PMs, plus all the ones from last game.

On the point of civility. Do recall that my character was, from the start, mentioned to be a besserwisser considering himself smarter then everyone else.... my posts are made from that pov. Just to remind you .

 

 

We have a point of origin. 7 names. While its not 100% the Inq is among them, its very good odds. That said, last vote was the last night when the Inquisitor getting killed would be an instant win. Thus, things change for today. its a restart, of sorts. All info is void on who may be a convert.

 

Still, I do hope a bunch among those 7 are seeked. I know wich 2-3 I would check first;)

Actually, yes. Especially considering there was quite a few embarrassing mistakes in the last one.

But of course, dear Apprentice! I am not entirely sure what you wish for your Lists to convey, but let us start with saying that the order of which you write up things can have a huge impact on how that Lists will be read and understood! Clever colour-coding can also produce some fun effects. Work with it earnestly, and let the Survivor guide your quill.
