As for contestants, I personally think that there should be 32 contestants with randomised fights, that way the results can be more unexpected and the result is less guaranteed to be the people with the most votes.

I lean towards using seeding. People spent 38 nominations on Marsh; he should get some benefit from that.

Or you could split the difference and use a randomised system with the number of nominations as an input.

I agree with this. It would suck if Marsh and Szeth went against each other in the first round. It'd be unlikely, but possible.

If we go with 32 people, we would have to vote for which person with 5 votes gets to be the 32nd. Similar problem for 64 people.

So I have a bracket using the top 32 characters made, and I have to say we have some very interesting matches (the second one in particular). I've elected not to include Stick, I just think it'd be unfair if he took the spot of an actual character. But if you all want him in, I can adjust it. 

I can make a team bracket if y'all want, but I just thought I saw more people wanting 32 over teams. 

 

Edit: Would y'all like to see it now, or wait until the day the tournament starts and have it be a surprise?

Also, I assumed we were using the Susebron with a tongue. And are we using Mistborn Spook or Tineye Spook?

I'd prefer Survivor of the Flames Spook, as we don't really know what happened to him after HoA anyway.

Also, I didn't get to participate in this last year, so I am SUPER excited for this. We've got really great characters, too. Marsh, Taravangian, Megan(which I think you spelled wrong ) and...can it be? Shai?

Whoops, haha. I have two friends named Meagan and they spell their name with an "ea." Guess that's what I'm used to! It's fixed now.

Also, I'm about to start writing the introduction for the tournament. If we're still trying to weave in a story, I'll start by having whatever God brought them here narrate what's going on. It won't be to long. Hoping to have the first match start tomorrow morning/early afternoon!

You could always use the Sennti games settings and the Announcer Al Vron from MR5 and MR16.  (Totally not a shameless plug for Sanderson Elimination.  Nope. QF18 is open for sign ups.  Come join the Slaughter.)
