Going to try and get some sleep. Probably will only rest for four-six hours, so I might be on for a little bit after I wake up. Got some last minute souvenir shopping to do before I leave Africa and I have plans with my local friends in the evening so I doubt I'll be as active in the second half of this turn as I was in the first. Also I'm pretty sure I'll be close to entirely inactive during the night turn because I'll be bouncing between several flights and two of them are over twelve hours long. So consider this a warning that I likely won't be around much until Tuesday or Wednesday.

That being said, ZephrerJust in case I don't get on again I'll put my vote back on Mark IV for the sake of testing that one theory I mentioned in the QF15 dead doc since for the time being I don't have much reason to suspect anyone else. This should give him time to speak up about everything that has been discussed by then and DC the opportunity to remove his vote if he decides there's no good reason for him to die, or for anyone else to stack votes on another player if they turn out to be a better lynch candidate.

Parth finally arrived at the ball to met with another world hopper. He looked around to try and find her and after a bit of moving around he saw her sitting alone. He walked up to her and sat down next to her. He looked around and saw nobody close by or suspicious. "I'm here, what was it you said you wanted to talk about?"

Well, Trelagist is still alive in QF15 but hasn't posted on there since May 13th. Overall he wasn't very active that game, but it appears that he was fairly active in LG20, in which he died on May 6th... so basically it seems he doesn't have a habit of consistent activity. I'm guessing the reason he hasn't posted here recently is the same reason why he hasn't posted in the QF, which looking at the last time he was online (over thirteen hours ago) is probably due to something that's going on in the real world and/or his time zone. I don't believe he received any votes before him logging off so it's not like he had a reason to speak up in defense of himself when he was online. I have been paying attention to who's viewing the thread fairly often and have yet to see any guests so I doubt it's a matter of him watching the thread anonymously while talking in a document, which is also supported by the fact that he's not following the thread and thus not receiving emails. While I do think that it's odd that he was active before and eager to receive his role and then proceeded to disappear after the fact, I don't think that's damning enough evidence on its own. Plus he's a newer player and I always try to give them some leeway.

Thanks. I'm probably just upset 'cause my world PM is completely dead. :P

Alv said he wouldn't be active for the first cycle or so on his sign up.

Yeah and I think Elb said something about being busy in the QF. I think. I also understand that a few of those players are currently still alive in the QF, so I understand them making that first priority over this game. I'd still like for them to check in, but if they haven't even read the thread yet, it's no problem.

Vote tally:

Mark(2): DC, Aman

Araris(1): PK

Mailliw(1): Conquestor

Trelagist(1): Lopen

Aman(1): Rae

Zephrer(0): Aman

Leiftinspace(1): Sheep

Sheep(1): Leiftinspace

A lot of players with 1 vote on them...

I'm curious if mark has anything more to say than to comment on the joke votes on him.

Araris has posted now, so I don't think he deserves a vote(meaning I probably wouldn't lynch him if I was gonna put a second vote on any of these targets).

Mailliw, as I said before, I'm leaning town. But that's a very shaky read, and one which I would put no trust in. :P

Aman, well, as a villager, he can be useful, but he's annoyingly difficult to kill when he's an eliminator. I probably wouldn't lynch him if it came down to it.

Zephrer, it's just a poke vote. If I had to force a lynch, I guess I'd consider him, because of inactivity, but I'd rather not.

Leiftinspace. Eh, not much of a read on them yet. He's posted mostly RP. Probably wouldn't lynch.

Sheep, I was leaning village, but his latest posts have actually changed my opinion slightly, so it's less trust now. Sorry.

Darn you Aman. I was doing a vote tally.  <_< Whatever, I'm leaving it up, with my thoughts on the lynch targets.

Voting on MarkIV so that when last minute votes come, and they will, there will be a bigger amount of votes on one person, so it will be harder to last minute vote.

I doubt there will be many last minute votes. They're usually too revealing. They only happened in the QF because I was already revealed, then people learned they needed to counter me.

I've agreed with you and poked Leift since you said you read me as village.  What's changed?

I feel like we shouldn't assume with eliminator team numbers, but alright. Amanuensis.

It's a bit early in the cycle to solidify the lynch, Conquestor. Why do you want Mark dead?

I agree with you on the Trel bit, though it's not something I would have picked up on myself.

EDIT: Off-topic, but something that came up in our world PM: Is Ruin's world destroyer ability more like the Death Star or Starkiller base.  I'm leaning towards Starkiller.  Thoughts?

Ruin can actually destroy multiple planets at once in this, since Roshar is being used to represent the Greater Roshar system (I think it was Hael that wanted to start on Braize), so if Ruin destroys Roshar, they'd be destrying Roshar, and also Braize and also Ashyn.  However, it's closer to the Death Star in that it doesn't need an external power source like a sun to be able to pull of its massive destruction.

Agreeing with you again, those seem pretty good numbers.

Going to poke Leift.  You've been around a fair bit, but haven't put your opinions out.  What are your thoughts on the game at the moment?

I don't really know why these posts made me less trusting of you. Probably because you agreed with me twice, which could be because you're an eliminator wanting to appear on my side or something. :P There's also the fact that you said you agreed with me about Trel, but didn't vote on him. Anyways, I still think you're village, I just said I'm less confident about that read now. All of my D1 reads are very weak, so I often change them based off of very slight reasons. I think you're sentence "Agreeing with you again, those seem pretty good numbers" is the thing that made me less trusting. It seems kind of like you just "agreed" with me without really thinking it through for yourself. *shrugs*

Hey! Lopen, that's what you said in the QF, and look, you were right! :P

Mmmhm. I'll stay paranoid though. :P Are you gonna vote on anyone Mail?

Oh, sorry guys. I was busy with RL stuff. Anyways, Amanuensis, it really seems like you are trying to solidify a nearly useless lynch with a very strange reason. I mean honestly, it makes you look a lot like an eliminator when you do something like this. Also, Sheep, it's usually not the best idea to just mirror someone who trusts you, as it makes you seem like you are just trying to make one person trust you completely and help you without hesitation.

Note: I didn't have time to read the whole thread, so pardon me if I said something dumb.

A man walked up to Nila's table "I'm here, what was it you said you wanted to talk about?" he asked.

"I've heard rumors about Hoid reassembling Adonalsium," Nila said. "You've heard of this, yah? What do you think? Is it true?"

Fair enough. :P Probably, but I've still got lots of time.

This looks like one of your first games, so I'll point out what's wrong here without voting on you:

  1. Bandwagons are almost never good. They limit discussion without providing any extra reasons to vote for someone. If you think Mark is actually suspicious, say something like, "Mark's posted without saying anything. I think he's trying to stay unnoticed."
  2. There's still another day left in the cycle, as Arraenae pointed out. Plenty of time left to vote for someone for more solid reasons.
  3. As Joe pointed out, last-minute votes are unlikely to happen. The only situation where they're really useful is when eliminators are trying to lynch the GM, or when the eliminators are about to win. This is the first cycle, so I don't think eliminators will place any last-minute votes.

I voted on Araris before, but it looks like he plans to post a few times per cycle.

Also, on the subject of worlds we start out on, I'd prefer not to share mine. Not everyone will share their worlds, so if I'm the only one on my world who shares, I'm more likely to be picked off by a trigger-happy gunslinger. I want to be judged based on my posts and reasoning, not my starting position.

Sorry for not yet posting. I was on when pms were sent out and then I slept. and today im going to be out a lot. And it's day one, and I typically don't post much. Just popping in to say I'm here and have been reading the thread somewhat.

Seonid, when the troll switches alignments, what alignments are possible for him to switch to?

I assumed all of them: Shardic Coalition, 17th Shard, Odium, and Autonomy.

The Troll switches through all 5 separate alignments. (Shardic Coalition, 17th Shard, Odium, Autonomy, and Survival, in that order).

It's in the rule clarifications, in Nyali's ListTM of questions

Huh, I missed that. Thank you.

Oh, it's on. Trelagist(still want to hear from you, but have more pressing matters to deal with atm.).

The Only Joe. You think you can insult the Lopen like that and get away with it? You'd better think again. :P

Sorry. Was out all afternoon/evening yesterday ( game started ~3:30 pm local time), and have been out all this morning, till recently. Currently, the QF still has my attention. I'll try and get some posts in at some point.

Edit: When does the cycle end?

27 I should think.

I believe Seonid said somewhere that he was gonna have to shorten this Turn because of some real life stuff. So it will end a couple hours early.

This one just started late. It'll still end at midnight tomorrow, MST.

Oh right. I knew that this Turn was gonna be short one way or another! :P

I'm also gonna request that Devotion put me in a PM or 2 if they can. My world PM is extremely quiet. I'm probably gonna worldhop somewhere else, but I always enjoy having multiple PM's. :)
