And @TwiLyghtSansSparkles, he kinda had to leave Harry with his last living relatives, but what I didn't understand is that Dumbledore could have left him there for like a day each year, then take care of him the rest of the time.

I think I'll check it out from my school library Monday. Storms I'm tired. And it's not even ten of the clock. Sheesh. But I don't wanna go to bed. I wanna stay up and watch Chris O'Dowd movies and, instead of laugh, chuckle awkwardly. The American middle class white teen struggle is real, folks. 1

That was my point—he could and should have figured out a way around it, or told Petunia in no uncertain terms that Harry should be treated as one of the family and that he was going to send Hagrid in every couple of weeks to make sure this demand was being met, or something other than leaving him there to rot for eleven years. The fact that he didn't says, to me, that Dumbledore just didn't care how Harry was being treated by his relatives.

Yeah, not to mention how he doesn't tell Harry anything and how "It's for your own good", and then when Harry finds out that he was always meant to die, and then he has that scene with Dumbledore at the white Kings Cross, and Dumbledore starts blabering how he wanted Harry to "have a normal life, and he always loved him" etc etc
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 @Dankness Ascendant: Right. Dumbledore couldn't have mentioned this as soon as he found out about it? Given Harry time to prepare, told him "There's a decent chance you'll survive, but if not, then I'm sincerely sorry it had to be this way"? There's a lot Dumbledore could and should have done, and he didn't do any of it. In other Harry Potter news, watch this video. Spoiler Now imagine the narrator teaching Care of Magical Creatures. "The Lethifold may be the world's deadliest predator. It is definitely the world's worst blanket. If you are cold and a Lethifold crawls on top of you, you will not become all snuggly and warm. You will die. And be eaten. Bummer." "If you do not bow to a Hippogriff, it will attack you. If you have a safety-minded teacher, you will not meet a Hippogriff on your first day of class. If you have a teacher who thinks three-headed dogs are cute, you will be required to appropriately adore the Hippogriff in hopes it does not slash your skin open for the insult. Seriously, guys, Hippogriffs are jerks."

It comes from the term copy pasta; something written that gets copied and pasted all over the internet. I cant think of any good examples at the moment, but often they are funny and weird, unless of course they are creepy and weird. Now? If you ask Dead Palette (the man speaking on the video above) it is a kind of internet horror. It has to be believable, beyond the normal suspension of disbelief, a good creepy pasta needs to, on some level, be able to make you question if it is real or not. It doesnt mean it cant be somewhat supernatural, people are naive, after all. Colloquially its a scary story you find on the internet.

Sure, but the cliche goes that the game is somehow haunted, or the lost episode is disturbing and so on. Yes, it sounds corny, which is exactly why it is impossible.

I thought it kind of looked like roots, or a really weird carrot." "Please…please don't say that too loud…." "Why not?" "Haha!" someone shouted. "Carrot boy!" Harry sighed so hard his soul left his body. 12
Nashan’Elin he/him Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 This feels a little like advertising, but for an assignment in AP US Government, I have to create a survey and have 50 people take it. I'm going to get a bunch of responses from my friends, but I don't have 50 of those, so if any of you guys has a spare minute, can you answer it? It's only two quick questions. Thanks! https://goo.gl/forms/607rL18e1wxR0ldw2 (By the way, it's probably best if you're a US resident, since it talks about the US political system.)

Why is it that every time someone brings up something even remotely Harry Potter-related, we begin branching off into Harry Potter "what if"s? I'm not complaining, it's actually rather entertaining. But just wondering.
