avery Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I think anywhere that they do not believe in a ruling class because of eye color - since my eyes are brown. But, probably the Pure Lake would be nice and relaxing.
BrightVoid he/him Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 New one: Aimia. Shapeshifting and (possibly) long life. Pre scouring of course, and I would be a Lanceryn hunter.
Jimmy he/him Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 But would not conserving ammunition against enemies on the individual level not allow you to more effectively slaughter more people and thus "overkill" (there's no verb for this storm it) the army as a whole more easily? Shinovar sounds like a relatively nice place. "You get a bullet, and you get a bullet, EVERYBODY GETS A BULLET!" But seriously, Alethkar is where the action is going to happen. Why go to a place like this to sit it out somewhere? Plus I've got light eyes, excel in small unit tactics with years of training to back it up and with the lighter gravity on Roshar would set some sort of strength record, increasing chances of getting shards. Because killing the enemy indiscriminately before they know they're your enemy is probably dishonourable in some circles. Looking at you Syl... I have training in engineering, can teach unarmed combat, and geek out about military theory, so I'd probably make myself invaluable ASAP to the Kholin family... (And thus increase my chances of bonding a spren. Because seriously, Stormlight healing is the best healing.) Hanging out with this guy because engineers are awesome. 1
+Authweight Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I like the feel of Azir from what we've seen of it. I feel like I would fit in there.
stonedshaman Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 (edited) Horneater peaks for altitude training( like the keyans) then kharbranth(surprised no one has picked there yet) for medical training. After that not sure because of my being a darkeyes my options are limited. But hey if we got enough offworld darkeyes together and trained we could change the whole light/dark eyed ruling system Edited April 12, 2016 by stonedshaman
Nashan’Elin he/him Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Herdaz, so I could hear their jokes all day.
soulcastJam he/him Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Bridge 4. As I'm currently me and not likely to inherit surgebinding powers, the only hope is for me to become a squire.
Stormgate he/him Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Bridge 4. As I'm currently me and not likely to inherit surgebinding powers, the only hope is for me to become a squire. The thing we often forget about Bridge Four is that before they were Dalinar's personal guards, they were on a suicide mission designed to draw enemy arrows. Before Kaladin, Bridge Four had the highest rate of turnover of the bridge crews. And there's only one way to get fired from that gig. I'd be wherever I could go to make fabrials in peace. Much less rare than Shardblades and certainly Honorblades, and it's the closest thing that world has to programming. Probably better than programming, as they are more able to directly manipulate the world. Sure, someone might accidentally be Transported to the Origin Sea, but they will be informed of the risks. 1
Mr. Staccato he/him Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 (edited) Yeah... see, a guy like me who is allergic to just about every seafood in the universe (heck, even exotic fish trip my allergen radars) would probably find Roshar incredibly difficult to live in, especially since almost half the animals inhabiting the planet are part crustacean or part manta ray. If we factor in the number of times everstorms manifest in Roshar in a given year we might as well classify the entire planet as aquatic - face it, even Spongebob can live aboveground here. But if I were to pick a place to set up permanence on Roshar, I'd choose to live my life on the back of the island turtle (or is it crab?) things. No problems, no currency, no discrimination, and best of all no clo- *coughs heavily* -sets. No closets. NO ONE has closets up there. Yes, that doesn't make sense. Let's leave it at that. skaa he/him Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 I would live on one of the Reshi isles, specifically the one where Geranid and Ashir do their spren research. I'd volunteer as Geranid's assistant and Ashir's guinea pig. Ah, that would be quite the life... at least, until the Voidbringers arrive and spoil everything. 1
