Actually... if you guys are codifying the rules for posting here a little more, maybe having an "offical" template for posting characters would be a good idea?

There isn't that much of a template really, just include the important bits. Especially for an ordinarry human just name, age, maybe description and background should be enough.

 

That's actually exactly what I was planning! If all goes well, I'm going to accompany Twi's Koschei posts with posts from his perspective. After Koschei's death, I'll detail his move to Portland and the events there, including the museum fight.

I think that it will be a lot of fun.

edit: To clarify, Headshot did not survive the museum fight (that's why his bio was in past tense ). Even though it is technically possible, detailing the life of an Epic after being given a severe concussion and several broken bones doesn't sound very fun to me, especially in a slow-moving RP such as ours.

To be fair, Hivemind (who has been strictly ignored by everyone after Joe made him up to heal Sightline's wound) could probably heal him.

Honestly, I'm not even sure what's happening in the RP these days. Half the characters being discussed on the Question I couldn't tell you a thing about. Almost all the new characters besides Lyla kind of blended together in my mind, and I'm increasingly confused about what exactly I'm supposed to be working towards in all the various character arcs I'm writing. The days when I had my finger on the RP's pulse, arguably the guy to ask about any Oregon-related inquiry, are long past.

 

That said, I do still enjoy writing these characters when I actually get around to doing so. The very last thing I want to see is this RP shriveling up and dying, and I will do my part to prevent this from happening.

 

 

...that said, at some point I might take Chouta up on his offer to write for some of my bit characters, 'cause I have a lot.

 

 

 

 

Oh, and Twi has my blessing, when it comes time for her to take up the Shard of Reputation.

Huh. That's interesting. I know that I've fluctuated, activity-wise, over the handful of years that I've been on this site. So what was the real-life reason for this?   Have you just sort of slowly found yourself drifting away from spending a decent-sized chunk of your free time on The Shard? Did you get a job that's more time-consuming than your last? Did you just get engrossed in a video game, or friends, or something? I don't mean to pry.

I think they fall under the "I'm still kinda throwing a background together, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"

Easier to hide (since she has no supervision) and...probably a bit more tragic. Since she's obsessing, and fangirling, over the people who are likely responsible for her not having a family to begin with...

Also, I'd like to remind everyone that this RP is something fun we all do in our free time, and that it's perfectly normal for all of us to get busy with other things, and that we shouldn't need an excuse for spending less time on the internet.  I spend less time on the internet sometimes because the weather has been nice for example, and I think that's perfectly okay.  I also feel like I shouldn't be obligated to explain absences if I don't want to, since this is supposed to just be something we all do for fun.  I get that unplanned absences can inconvenience other writers when doing collaborative fiction, but I also think it's okay to have some patience.  It's fine to check in with people and see what's up, but I know I personally am a little uncomfortable with the level of interrogation Kobold is being subjected to, and I know it wouldn't make me feel great if I was being treated the same way.  I know everyone here is just really excited to be writing together, and no one is trying to be rude, but I know that I personally would appreciate a little more understanding and patience.

Well I wasn't feeling worried enough to comment on it but I did think a bit the same. Then again I'm only half Canadian so maybe I'm just half as polite.

Still waiting for internet to get sorted at new house so unfortunately my Shard time is still pretty low, I'm keeping up to date on my phone it's just harder to reply to everyone on it.
